Wonder how much longer they are going to go with Huberdeau being a ghost.

Well. As far as I can tell...2031.
Unless he develops an equipment allergy or, he is French...he just might quit.
I mean...he's already quit. I just meant 'Professionally.'
I was at last night's game and I wasn't sure if he'd actually dressed to play. His name was never even mentioned.

Extremely disappointing to see Huberdeau the way he is. Probably knows the direction of this team and is just mailing it in until the contract is over. Wish he was better, but he is just a turnover machine. Easily the worst contract in the league in my eyes.

I am losing my stance that at least he isn't acting like Neal

It is undeniable this year. He has been so pathetic as a hockey player with very few exceptions in a select few games.

In the running?
It’s a foregone conclusion

Ya know...I remember there was a year there where it seemed like everyone had Ovechkin figured out and his numbers tumbled and I thought he was done. Then he re-invented his game and became a nearly unstoppable force.
Somehow...I dont have the same confidence in Huberdeau because...it genuinely looks like he doesnt GAF.
We got sold a dud. Stupid Wizard.
Worst. Wizard. Ever.

I find it amusing when CPers mock Treliving for being called a wizard as if it were his own idea, when it was here on CP that people first called him that.

This is probably one of the saddest things I have seen in professional sports
An athlete, still pretty much in his prime totally giving up on himself and his team has no attempt in helping him and savage their investment….lose lose all round

Losing is kind of the mission though. You can't hope for high draft picks and key players performing to their best at the same time. In a couple of seasons when there's more young players on the roster hopefully he can maybe get back to productive ways but I'm hoping for the same from him next season quite frankly.

Yeah but usually they can ship him somewhere to revive his career but I guess with his contract they are stuck

we might not see this bad of a contract for a long time. as much as i love to clown the Oilers for Nurse, this one is far worse. will be watching tonight to see if he is trotted out on PP 1. if so, Huska needs to wake up

As I suspected, he’s out of the lineup due to injury.

It's not fair at all to say he didn't try.
He just somehow lost it, and never found it again. He tried to reinvent his game and tried to contribute in other ways but is just struggling again.
It sucks but I don't think it's for a lack of Huberdeau trying
