And guarantees the oilers lose
And it would be cool to see Raz get a cup
So yeah…go Knights!

I'm not gonna get my hopes up about any other trade until Coleman is proven healthy and even then he has a year left. I doubt Whitecloud is going anywhere either, it's a nice thought. Some more DRAFT pics THIS year would be nice however.

And my understanding is that the 2028 pick will be unprotected in this scenario. By then… Eichel is 32, Hertl is 35, Stone is 35 (Likely retired), Andersson is 32. Could be a year they struggle.

He just got blindsided with a move from a sunbelt contender to a rebuild in Western Canada. I'm sure he's as open to being flipped as we are

Well I think it's not surprising fans already see Weegar, Brzustewicz, Parekh, and Pachal on the RH side and question the fit.
I'm actually not sure moving him right away would maximize his value, might be better at next deadline.

And who knows what's going on with goaltending. The floor could collapse in net. Getting rid of Thompson was kind of silly.

This is a classic retool move by the flames. I like the player but if they don’t flip him it will be the same old same old flames management.
I see him as a block from meaningful time for our young guys

Weegar can play the other side and Pachal can be moved - problem solved.

The only thing is if you flip him now his value might be a bit deflated as a "throw in" on the Andersson trade.
If the return now is a 2nd id wait, I think there is the potential to get a 1st for him

The top teams in the Central will have to fight through themselves to get to the Western Final. If Vegas gets there, they'll only need to beat the survivor.

I am fine with playing him a bit and looking at the deadline for sure.
Don’t think his value has dropped from this trade though. He will play a bunch here and don’t see that being much different.

I see this as more of a retool trade than rebuild as well.
Why are we trading for 30 year old player to block spots from the kids?

Trading your best d-man for 2 draft picks, a prospect and one NHL player isn't a rebuild trade?
They can keep Whitecloud or flip him for a pick as well. Zayne isn't ready for the NHL, so who would he be blocking?

Because it's better than trading for nothing.
Vegas needed to throw in Whitecloud to make the cap work, even with 50% retention on Andersson. Of course Conroy is going to take out their trash and try to recycle it by selling it somewhere else.

Trade him for a first...but not that first.
Trade him before he's hurt for anything....but that isn't enough.
Some people are never happy.

Because we’re 5 points out of a playoff spot.
