I can’t think of a single poster who thinks the Flames have a perfect owner or a perfect coach or perfect players. Do you have any posts you can direct me to where folks have said that, or the five posters who have?

I think your posts are fine. Lots of posters on the other extreme of defending the Flames or giving the team the benefit of doubt. Truth is no one is in the room with Connie so its just who speaks the loudest and has the most "friends" to support.

I am on team super tank where burning it to the ground would make me happy. To be honest, trading 2 of the 3 ASAP is the only thing that will garner a slight pass in my view - yet my view means squat.

I share similar views to you and lots on Barn Burner - minus the real Rhetts thought that if we dont get the offer we want for Ras - just resign him. Under no circumstances is that good for our future unless that new contract has no trade protection.

Just for the record, and I’m not saying anyone should care what I think, but I have no problem with Rhett’s posts, and I feel like other posters are way too hard on him.

Plus, I agree with him a lot, sorry to say….

Put him on ignore, and keep scrolling if you don’t like it.

If you post things that are false people are gonna call it out.

Fact is the Mangiapane situation and the Ras situation are TOTALLY different...Mangiapane has become a tweener in their lineup and is being healthy scratched at times.

He isn't being scratched because they are scared he is going to get hurt...what do they care?

Its true that Mang has sucked and deserves to be healthy scratched anyway. However, some media headlines does mention healthy scratch because Oilers want to trade him - similar to Dougie Hamilton. The confusion is very valid.

However, note that if the Flames were actually a couple days out from knowing he is being traded, being scratched for 1 game is very acceptable in my mind and I feel that the hockey world would understand it. Or at least dont have him lead the team in ice time like he is tonight.

They want to trade him and told him and his agent they can find a team who wants him but they weren't sitting him out for trade related purposes. They just would rather play someone else.

They want to trade him because he isn't good enough to stay in their lineup, he wants the trade to save his NHL career...Ras in a contract year and would have a grievance involving the PA should they just sit him out for no reason.

Its really not complicated, the situations are not the same at all
