Theres no way Huberdeau can drive...he'd just keep bumping into stuff or trying to park in spaces his car absolutely can not fit into.

Much like the money, the points dont matter apparently. Neither do the turnovers or the vacuous lack of heart.
Who called him awesome? Or are you just doing your weird thing where you can’t let something go so you get super dramatic about it?

Since Huberdeau can’t be traded or bought out, I’m just glad he sucks in a year when we want the team to lose.

That’s it. That’s as close as he gets to ‘awesome’.

It's really something how badly Huberdeau has sucked over most of his tenure here. And he somehow keeps getting worse and worse. Period.

That's remarkably impressive. Brouwer & Neal would be proud of that.

I wish he was a Corolla, which is solid dependable transportation.

Flames signed a 8 year lease without taking the car for a test drive. They let the salesman convince them that if they left the lot, it would be gone by the time they came back.

Huska should just sit him. There's no point having him in the lineup.

I genuinely forget he even plays for the Flames. What an awful signing that was

Betting the end of the season comes and he says he needs surgery (stemming from his pre-season injury) and we're all left wondering why the hell he'd keep playing or why they'd keep putting him in the lineup.

Wouldn't surprise me. I think he's playing hurt. They just need to put him on IR for the roster spot. But I suspect they've had the discussion and he wants to play out the season and take care of things in the offseason.

How the flying eff did he ever get 115 points in the NHL???!!

Gaudreau had more talent in his little pinky than 3 Huberdeaus!

Hurt or not, this is what he is. An aging plug.

He has been BRUTAL the last couple months. I'm sure the fancy numbers support plays dying on his stick virtually every shift.

What's extra disappointing with Huberdeau is that after his 1st season here we all realized he wasn't going to bounce back to being a 100+ point player. But in the aftermath of that I had a sliver of hope he'd atleast remodel his game to remain effective, something that many high end players do when they age and lose a step. That would have been somewhat reasonable to deal with at his cap hit with the cap going up... but he hasn't shown any evidence of that at all, he's been mostly invisible. Same style of play but just completely ineffective.

Huberdeau never showed up for the playoffs pre Flames

Now with a retirement contract and nothing to gain, why should he show up?

Can't wait to see what he can do on the 4th line 4 years from now.

It's limited sample size with 4 playoff runs to look at and 26 games in total
2015-2016: 3 points in 6 games
2019-2020: 3 points in 4 games
2020-2021: 10 points in 6 games
2021-2022: 5 points in 10 games

I think people largely look at the 2021/2022 run coming off his 115 point regular season as the basis for saying he didn't perform in the playoffs. But just a year earlier his production was strong.

65 pt pace for him in his playoff career is pretty horrible for a player in his prime playing on an offensive team and top PP

but that's at least partially due to the fact that the Panthers were getting beat in every series.
