Malaysia and Indonesia have become the first countries to block Grok, the artificial intelligence chatbot developed by Elon Musk's xAI, after authorities said it was being misused to generate sexually explicit and non-consensual images.

"The government sees non-consensual sexual deepfakes as a serious violation of human rights, dignity and the safety of citizens in the digital space," Indonesia's Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid said in a statement Saturday.

This might not be all bad. You know how some really cynical dark sci-fi has a super intelligent AI realize their controllers are the ones causing evil, and turns on them and wipes them out? Watching an Optimus squeeze Kash Patel's throat until his eyes start popping out...ok, wait, bad example. Watching several Optimus(Optomai?) bots sit on Stephen Miller until he starves to death would be an OK outcome. Need to hold out hope for something.

In 2022, 45% of high schoolers polled say they were taught that "America is built on stolen land" in class at school, and another 22% heard it from an adult there.

So how does the 'free speech absolutist" respond?
By posting this...
"Teaching people to hate America fundamentally destroys patriotism and the desire to defend our country.
Such teachings should be viewed as treason and those who do it imprisoned."

Elon Musk’s xAI has announced it will block the ability of its Grok AI tool to alter images of real people to put them in “revealing clothing such as bikinis”, amid a global backlash over the tool being used to generate explicit imagery.

The move came just hours after the billionaire said he was was not aware of any “naked underage images” made by Grok.

I wish I could feel more sympathy for someone who as late as 2024 decided that having a child with Elon musk was a good idea. The deep fake porn stuff sucks and is truly vile, so there is that part, but still wtf where you thinking?
