This is what I think. GM is telling other teams that they have heard he wants to go there or something. Since they know they have worse assets.
GMMG in San Jose trying to improve his bottom 6 would be good.
End of the day though, need this move done to let us focus on Coleman and Kadri

Speaking of Tampa. They want Kadri? Point is now out a while likely.
Edit: I’m aware they have nothing to offer really. We could be better packages elsewhere.

Given the Leafs are trade asset deprived, need a defenceman, and NJ has a defenceman that isn't garnering much attention these days, I can see Hamilton landing on the Leafs out of desperation from Treliving.

I'd be pretty happy with Geekie as a centerpiece for Kadri.

Frig...I can't stand that organization (Vegas) self righteous and apparently the only destination that UFA players want to sign with.
That whole debacle with Fleury, players magically becoming healthy come playoffs time...$#@&## them
If this is the only team he is willing to sign an extension with, trade him as rental somewhere else, he has been a good warrior for the team, but time to move on

Wings give up a shorty. Ras wouldn’t have let that happen

Canucks doing Canuck things, giving up two goals in the first 2 minutes of the 3rd.
5-3 Habs

It would be awesome to get the rumoured Toronto package offered for Ras last year, but from Boston this year. Minten and Tor 1st for unextended Ras would be awesome. Helps BOS beat out Leafs for a playoff spot. Then we get their 1st this summer.
That would hurt GMBT the most, that's why I like the idea.
I mean really, does it get better than that? Maybe if TOR wins the draft the lottery benefitting us.
For me that series of events would be as good as eliminating the greasers in the 1st round of the playoffs.

We better hope Rasmus agrees to extend with a team. Because if he will only sign in Vegas, that cuts his trade value significantly.

Does a deal around Sharangovich for D. Hamilton make sense for CGY?
I realize it is unlikely Hamilton waives to come here, but I think it could actually be an excellent fit: - Hamilton's deal is only 3 years, Sharangovich is signed for another 5
- Since most of Hamilton's Signing bonuses are already paid he would only cost Calgary $4.8M a year, or $14.6M in total.
- Hamliton's game seems very similar to Parekh, and I think he would be good to have around for his development
- Andersson is going to move soon, freeing up a top 4 RD spot
- Hamilton could be flipped, even with 50% retention you only have to pay him $7.3M over 3 years, and we won't need the cap space.

This could be huge for a cap pressured team. We need to move him this year.
His game has already started to dip

They absolutely should, so much cap space, might as well make it worth something.
