Doesn't Conroy know that we are all waiting for a trade?

I think I would prefer Danielson. But if you could get Tampa to up the offer to be Geekie + 1st then I would go with Tampa.

C > Winger.
9OA > 32OA.
Danielson is better in every way and its not even close.

I mean I would take it but that is already a GREAT return for Coleman without an extra pick

Vancouver and Calgary should trade firsts...then neither team needs to cheer for loses, players don't have to be asked about tanking

Yes, and he's delaying as LONG as he can JUST to piss YOU off.
Feel special.
In reality, if he gave a crap, he wouldn't have the job he does...which is why all the armchair GMs here don't have that job either.

Agreed.
SOR for Coleman is a steal. I would even add a depth prospect or pick to get it across the line.
The Flames need quality at this stage, not quantity. SOR will be an NHLer and likely an effective, potentially elite 3rd liner (much like Coleman).

Maloney said earlier he thinks people should stand up to bullies, and that sometimes you try for peace and it doesn't work.

Even if nothing happens I like the smoke around trades happening. But when it’s radio silent that’s so much worse.

Player aside, I actually like O'Reilly because it would be a fun add to the Flames Oilers rivalry.
EDM traded their 2025 1st(Brzustewicz) so they could select O'Reilly in the 1st round in 2024. Then they traded him for Ike(Howard).
So yeah, it would be extra fun if O'Reilly finds success here, while Howard falters for the Oil.

Not my preferred return but it Would be even funnier if the Flames trade Andersson to LA for Brzustewicz + 2026 1st.
And then trade Coleman to Tampa Bay for O'Reilly +
And then both O'Reilly and Brzustewicz end up being great for the Flames.

Murray Edwards wouldn't pay for someone to experience world peace elsewhere in the world while still under contract.

Unsure what to think of Dougie Hamilton. Seems he can't stick with any team very long, wasn't really clear why, just vague insinuations about being a museum nerd? I'd take him if a) it came with an asset and b) we play the hell out of him to help our PP, let him boost his trade value and then flip him again for another asset, kinda like what Mtl did with Monahan or SJ with Walman.

You shop his as a rental and whoever gets him will get to dangle that 8th year. The most I can see Conroy giving another team is an acknowledgement that Ras would be open to negotiating.
|
It can backfire allowing teams to talk, best thing to do is tell teams what his ask is and go from there.
