Oh weird. Celebrini made it. I wonder if McDavid will as well?

Of course Celebrini makes it. He’s literally one of Canadas best forwards. It would be asinine not to take him and this “debate” about taking him or a healthy Bedard has been really, really weird to me. It’s not even a question in my opinion.

No William Karlsson for Sweden.

I mean with Hockey Canada you can never take any roster selections for granted.

Wasn't too long ago Chris Kunitz was named to the Olympic team because he was already playing with Crosby.

It’s not a story that he made it though.

It’s be a story if he didn’t. That’s my point. There’s super obvious, then there’s obvious. Then there’s debatables.

Celebrini is a super obvious.

Can never expect Canada to take the obvious.
We just watched them f it up last year at the world juniors, tons of “obvious” and “top” players weren’t picked.

Never underestimate Canada selection committees.

Maybe somebody can make the bottom 2 Olympic rings on the symbol Bouchard's eyes? That would be fantastic.

The last time the olympics were in Italy, Hockey Canada chose to take Kris Draper and Todd Bertuzzi over Sidney Crosby. Crosby scored 102 points that season.

So while it's duh obvious to take Celebrini we should at least be relieved that HC did not repeat that blunder.

And THEY bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh, this is a Nazi bar now. And its too late because they’re entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down.

Staal and Spezza were also left off the team and they were having even better seasons than Crosby at the time the team was named.

At the end of the 2005-06 season, the overall leaguewide top 6 in points were: Thornton, Crosby, Staal, Savard, Richards, and Spezza. Thornton and Richards were the only ones on Team Canada at the Olympics.

Iginla barely made the team in '02. Basically had to be leading the league at the time.

We also sat Gretzky while Ray Bourque took to the shootout.

I haven't seen many projected rosters, what's the chance Backlund makes team Sweden? I know he was left off 4 nations, but surely he's better than Nyquist or Arvidsson? Seems like the type of guy you would want for 3 or 4C playing against top players

Really hoping for both Backlund and Andersson to make Team Sweden. Backlund especially. Still among the best 2-way centers right now, though more defensive than offensive. Always feel like he consistently doesn't receive the accolades that I think he earned over the years.
