Just binged the three episodes that dropped yesterday and I thoroughly enjoyed every second. This series is just so damn fun, and there were a couple of scenes there that hit me hard in the feels. Love it! Can’t wait to see the finale.
You just know that at the end of the Final Episode our troupe of heroes will be effectively defeated...the villain will gloat with their final, ultimate victory and then, when all hope seems lost and the light is fading...
Barb will show up and kick that bastard's ass and save Hawkins.
Roll. Credits.

Man really? I've absolutely loved this final season.
Will's acting is f'n terrible however, just bad.
Yeah, I don't want to be that guy just complaining about a very enjoyable show, but has been a lot of cringe moments IMO.
Will's acting is bad, but Holly is the worst character in the series. The actor doesn't seem child like, has a weird adult like demeanor. That casting was a very poor choice, I keep cheering for Vecna to get her off the screen permanently.
I think its been pretty good so far, yeah, final seasons can meander and I'll agree that I think the way they're wrapping up storylines is...borderline lazy.
Spoiler!
The whole Nancy/Jonathan confession scene was pure cringe for instance. The Mom in the Hospital thing? That was lame as all hell. The hysterical girlfriend thinking her girlfriend was on drugs was dumb. The Will Byers 'coming out' scene was just...I dont know...most obvious and least well kept secret in TV? That might have gone down better if we didn't know it was super obviously coming and if the actor delivering that scene didn't completely suck.
Agreed that the Holly character is kind of lame, why parachute her into this? The scenes with her and Max suck.
Really, the main cast of Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Wolfhard, Matarazzo, Hawke and Keery are the ones doing all the heavy lifting here.
That being said, I'm still enjoying it, it is well past time to wrap 'er up. We're in it to the end. Some scenes are unnecessary, some are too long, etc. but I also understand that in some ways its a 'Good-Bye Letter' to the show and the cast so let them chew the scenery a bit.

I don’t think the season is a whole lot different than any other quality wise. Maybe because they’ve got so long in between it just feels different or something but I’d put it in the upper half overall. I feel like anyone who made it through season 2 and has any complaints about this season around pacing or cringe factor or unnecessary things has just totally forgotten how bad the show has been for this stuff previously.
The only real complaint I have is back-seating Mike’s character entirely. And when they introduced the wormhole idea with 2.5 episodes left I had to shake my head. Otherwise it’s good. Having Holly in the show is the closest they’ve come to the original heart of the show since season 1, so I’ve liked her inclusion.
The chubby kid is absolutely hilarious. Especially when he was helping the escape and swapping then on the heads for their turn to leave.
