Berrios will be gone and save 13-18 million depending how much if any they have to pick up of his salary
I don’t think they are concerned about the luxury tax aprons because there will be a work stoppage and changes and they prob assume everything resets once a new structure agreed in CBA
I agree, I think after missing out on the top FA relievers the Jays package him in a deal with a prospect or two to the Padres for Mason Miller....or at least I hope they do.
Its apparently out there that Bo's camp has started telling people hes willing to move off of SS and onto 2B. IMO this has to be good for us I think. Doesn't seem like hes getting his doors blown off by massive offers to be a teams long term SS option.
Come back to TO Bo.

I don’t think there’s much to be said right now about the remaining guys (all the big guns). Arguably none of them are getting ridiculous offers to sign at this moment. I wouldn’t read much into his position at all. He wanted a big pay day which is why he took SS but he really is better suited to 2B. I don’t think he cares as long as he gets paid. Not signing yet is par for the course in MLB these days. Nothing to read into yet, but I still think the Yanks come in and try and grab him.
Works for me. I'd want him to move to 2B anyways. But yeah, his market must not be shaping up like he'd like to be putting that out there... Sign him, trade Barrios, and call it a (very successful) offseason.

Berrios with retention plus Nimala for Mason Miller?

Geez, I really wouldn't want to trade Nimmala for a reliever. I mean... he's not untouchable... but if I was going to move him I'd want to move him as part of a package for something more impactful then a bullpen arm. Certainly not if we're gonna retain money on Barrios anyways.
