Completely dominated by Bedard and Celebrini in recent games. Hopefully management watched those games closely. This is why we need top picks.
Good night for the tank with the Canucks winning too.

Think Kuznetsov needs to be tested with the tougher matchups. I think he’s up to it. Bahl got torched tonight.

Celebrini is simply unbelievable. Wonder how we get a player like that.

Don Maloney: "Again, in a fantasy world, it's very enticing. You have to deal with the real world, too. First of all, we're very early in this season. Let's see how it plays out the rest of the year for those teams."
Played out pretty well for San Jose tonight...he only has 22 more points than the leading Flame right now too.

If we keep picking up these losses, and not trading our draft picks for some veteran help, we might not make the playoffs this year

They were up against the second worst team in the league to be fair.

It's so fun that we got to deal with McDavid in our division the last 12 years, and now we get to deal with Celebrini and Carlsson too (probably isn't talked about enough that he has 41 points and is +10 this year with his team leading the division)

He will light it up when he gets to a team where he actually has two linemates playing with the same energy and enthusiasm, not a set of linemates where one player seems to do a disappearing act game to game, and the other who hangs out well any from traffic or contact in the offensive zone, allowing most chances that Coleman might create on his relentless forecheck, to quickly die in the vine.

You don't give Backlund nearly enough credit.
He's probably playing hurt tonight after leaving the game on Saturday, and he's still tasked with doing all of the defensive heavy lifting even though he probably shouldn't have to be counted on doing that at his age.

Yeah blaming a guy 3 months shy of his 37th bday for our issues who has to constantly play against superstars 15 years younger then him is … something

Tonight or not, Coleman and his style playing with Backlund severely restricts offense zone chance generation from that line and has for the years they are together.
Backlund hanging back and out of the play in the name of defense, whatever.
Point being made here is that when Coleman and his style gets onto a team where he’s got three guys engaged lower in the zone and getting dirty in the offensive zone in the forecheck and cycle, he’s and his line will put up some numbers.

What issues? Simply saying Coleman will thrive playing with two linemates who have similar styles when he gets traded.

Coleman scored 30 goals two years ago. He’s on a pace for 24 this year. Those are the two best offensive years of his career in goals per game. This is what it looks like when he’s thriving.
