Both Frost and Farabee are exceeding my expectations

Granted the expectation was very low

They both look like they can contribute in a small role moving forward as long as they don’t get too expensive

Frost is on pace for 45 points this season. Backlund's average in the last 6 seasons has been 43 points per 82. I think Frost is the perfect Backlund replacement as he fades out in next few years.

I'd also think he can put up even more points down the road if he's still on the team. I'd think he could contribute even more on an improved PP unit and playing alongside some better offensive talent.

Lord knows I am. Damned bastard is going to keep this team sucking for the better part of a decade!

Which, if you think about it, is pretty inconsiderate bordering on downright rude.

The Frost/Farabee deal was a home run the second it was made. 2 pretty good NHL players for a 2nd, a salary dump enigma and an AHL guy? Everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.

Of course it took a bit for them to settle in....pretty common when young guys get traded for the first time.

I expect both guys will be fixtures here for a few years and to become fan favorites if they arent already.

And if they don't stay long term they will be flipped for much more than CC gave up to get them, most likely.

Or... people are getting a free 1.5 oz sample of popcorn (totalling no more than 6 kernals per person) at the next home game.

Yep you got it. It’s just city wide discounts for membership in the red club. This makes me think the 03-04 jersey is even more likely in the second half of the season

Can you name even one CP poster who is advocating for this? The debate seems to be between those who advocate maximizing the value of all assets, including draft picks and roster veterans, and those who advocate maximizing the value of a single asset, the 2026 first round draft pick. The problem is that we don’t know how much, if any, the value of that draft pick will drop if the team waits to get returns for Andersson and Coleman that improve the team’s overall assets long-term. Some would take little to nothing in return just to improve the value of the single asset. And what if that single asset turns out to be a bust?

Frankly I just want the team to play the way the team plays. Then on draft day Conny slips the lottery-ball dude a $20 and lo and behold...high draft pick!

Gotta play the game! If you're not cheating you're not trying hard enough!

Tampa and Vegas have Cup Rings to celebrate their cheating!

The way certain teams always seem to win the lottery, one could be excused for considering, especially in jest, the possibility that the lottery system wasn’t always… random.

And it might not even improve what draft pick they end up getting anyway. They could end up in the same spot with more assets.

We're probably not getting a top 3 pick, and I'm over it. The focus now should shift toward maximizing returns for the vets. They've been playing great lately, and it's nice to see their trade values improving.
