I think most would agree that Backlund isn’t what you would call an “emotional” leader.
Looking at that shot of the bench, I’m starting to wonder if he has any emotions at all?

Sounds like a very typical effort for the last road game of a long trip. Kind of sleep walking through it. I watched 3 goals go in tonight and had to go do family things.
Last game on the road and the first game back at home are always the worst efforts. They're just over magnified when you trolluping around in the bottom of the standings.

No, Backlund isn't an emotional leader, but there is something to be said for Scandinavian stoicism. It helps the team ride through the highs and lows.
