Default Canes 1 - Flames 0 (OT)

More than an hour since the game ended and still no PGT.

Great game from Cooley. He deserved the shutout. Otherwise, a pretty boring game from both teams.

Went to the game

Felt like a little kid’s soccer game with how little space there was and how choppy the ice was.

30 shots combined in 63 mins is pretty bad. Kadri kind of ruined the momentum of 3v3 with carrying the puck too much and then not switching. Ultimately cost us the goal in the end.

Ethical tank continues.

That was certainly one of the games. Not a bad effort.
Cooley continues to be pretty solid.

That was one of the most boring games I've ever seen.

First period was a bit boring. After that I thought it was a quite entertaining game to watch.

Was the ice really as bad as it looked? Seemed awful.

They did what they had to. Who cares if the attendees were entertained, Flames were there to try to steal 2 pts. Saying it was bad hockey is like saying Mayweather-defence is bad boxing.

They were great at containing Canes and limiting shots on net. With a bit more skill up front, that counter attack style might have worked for the Flames.

Bummer that Naz killed the game the wrong way. He played fine up to that point. I think he feels he has to do that because the rest of the team is so poor at generating chances some nights.

Usually you’d be pretty happy with 3 of 6 points on the SE US leg of a road trip. They played a pretty tight and disciplined game and earned a point for it.

Beecher-Hunt-Klapka seemed to get pinned in our end quite a bit. Doubt we’ll see that combo again

Saying that you would like to see Morton get some more NHL time seems to elicit a lot of disdain for some reason but I’d like to see Morton on that line again.

Thats misleading when you consider pts% and games played.

Oh I agree I would've done the same thing if I were the Flames. I made a statement on what I felt about the game. It's Carolina that is in a non-traditional hockey market that needs to entertain the fans.

Huska hockey is so tough to watch. Setting hockey back decades with the play style.

I really don't think we are bad enough to draft top 3 in the current state. Need to make a move soon.

I thought the Flames generated decent chances - especially considering the opponent. Carolina is very good defensively. Flames probably deserved 2 points out of it, but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

Flames improved from 2-8-2 in October to 7-6-2 in November.

December will tell us a lot: 13 games, 9 at home, only 4 on the road, and no back-to-backs.

December we really even out our points % with the other bottom dwellers. January we leapfrog the bottom 10.
February we're holding strong 3-4 points out the playoffs.
End of Feb/Start of March pre trade deadline we're on a 4 game winning streak, maybe even in a playoff spot. We trade Anderson but turn down amazing offers for Kadri and Coleman because we want to give this team a chance!
