Talk to your family doctor directly about ADHD, tell them directly why you think you have it and how long. They'll go through a process, sometimes as simple as a questionnaire and depending on the rating will talk about the next step. Could be a medication, sometimes just knowing and having a diagnosis helps a person.

My hey doc to medication was about half an hour. It was a process after that to to find the right med and dosage but that's the first most important step. It's not different than any other issue. Gotta bring it up!
