Both my parents were born in Canada, as was I so that makes me Canadian. However my heritage is Norwegian as all of my grandparents were from Norway.
 I'm a viking and I love whiskey!

The best wedding I ever went to was a ukrainian one in redwater AB, and todd fedoruk carried me on his back to the one and only local bar because I had one too many 'cabbage rolls' and maybe a couple beers.

I'm a second generation Canadian, and in my travels of the world, have been told be many a foreigner that I have the thickest Western Canadian accent they have ever heard. Both grandfathers come from Austria but my dads grandfather was from the Western part and spoke German. My moms grandfather was from the far East in what is now Hungary, but was Ukranian through and through. I have an Aunt who had 3 brothers, and due to world conflict they're born in three different countries despite never moving as children (Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia) The family surname comes out as being German, but everytime I'm accused of being German I set the record straight. Oh no, I'm not German, I'm Austrian. Which is actually much worse, it was an Austrian that created the mess and havoc that was WWII and than was able to pass the blame onto the Germans.

What's a bunniak? Given the context I think I have an idea but I've never heard that term before.

My grandpa on my dad's side was Scottish Metis while my grandma is Ukranian though she must have native blood in her because her great grandma was suppose to have been an indian princess. My grandpa on my mom's side was French Metis(and according to my aunt is related to Louis Riel) and my grandma is Icelandic.

Born in Zaire (no longer exists), grew up in Kenya (lived with lions), moved to England (culture shock), then Scotland (so laid back), showed up in Calgary with a Scottish accent (weird) and now call this wonderful city home.

Now that is a guy I want to meet. I can't imagine what you would look like or sound like. Good stuff.

I know a gujurati guy but he is a big ***hole.

100% Icelandic. I'm told that my birth parents moved from Iceland to Canada just after I was conceived. Due to the fact that they were both very young (father -18, mother 16) they gave me up for adoption.

My mom is basically a professional genealogist. We know a BUNCH about her family.
My family on her side can be traced back to colonial America. Irish, English and Welsh. The Welsh line goes has been traced back to this.....Family hovel
My Dad's family has been here only for a few generations. German and Russian immigrants from the late 19th century. They moved to Indian Territory as Oklahoma was called at the time.

My son is a jumbled mess! Toss all that in with my wife who is 1/4 Inupiak, 1/4 Norwegian, 1/4 Swedish and 1/4 English!

I was born in one of those European countries that kept changing its borders throughout the 20th century due to World Wars etc. My family origin is Hungarian, but they live in a part of the Austro-Hungarian empire that got split up in to Czechoslovakia, which eventually ended up being Slovakia a few decades later. Oh, and my last name is Polish, although I don't really have any sort of recollection of anyone im family being from there....
But other than that, Im a first-generation Canadian who started in eastern europe, with a few years in Austria, and now the US.

I think I'm the only Italian on this board. I'm 100% WOP! Born and raised in Calgary Canada. Greatest city. All my bloodlines are from Italian decent, and even about 90% of all relatives are Italian. Mom was born in Teramo Italy, dad born here in Calgary. All grandparents born in Italy. Cool thing is, my dad's dad comes from a city which used to be a Spartan training center back in the greek days. I may very well have a small trace of greek in me.
