Seen this many times during the goal replays, but never saw it close up like this before. Gotta love that it's a McD tarp getting tossed in favour of a Chucky one lol.
I'm having wicked dreams of leaving Erie
Hear Edmonton, I swear it's calling me
Won't make my mama proud, it's gonna cause a scene
She sees her baby boy I know she's gonna scream
God, what have you done?
You're a Blue Donkey
And you play for that club
Oh mama, I'm just having fun
On the ice in my skates
It's where I belong down at the
Blue Donkey Club
I'm gonna keep on playing for the
Blue Donkey Club
I'm gonna keep on playing down in
Stinky Edmonton
I'm gonna keep on playing for the
Blue Donkey Club, Blue Donkey Club

Followed by a severly out of tune guitar solo and the sounds of strings breaking and complete bewildered silence from the crowd
Here's one; I don't recommend reading it though as it took me 20 minutes to remove the stink from my computer.
Amongst the gems are a calling out of the Flames.
But before we get started, let’s just take a minute to rejoice in the fact that as bad as things are for the team in Alberta’s capital, at least they’re not the Calgary Flames.
Those low-down, no-good dirty Flames who stink up the rink on a nightly basis, whenever they get a chance to crawl their sorry carcasses out the basement of the NHL standings, where they have been dwelling all season long.
At 6-13-5, they are the epitome of everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong for an NHL club. Check that, ‘alleged’ NHL club.
I get rivalry, look at this thread alone, however are they really so literally stupid that they cannot see that the two teams are in different development arcs?
I truly look forward to the day that the Flames draft and develop pays off because once the glitter twins fade...the grease pigs should anticipate a quarter century of darkness at the least. after all, other than one single lottery ball, which part of Houston would the oilers rink be in?
haha stupid oiler and media fanboys.
This article is gold, what are you reading? He makes some jabs at rhe Flames, because he's about to suplex the Oilers from the top rope.
Quote:
But here’s the thing. For as bad as the Flames have been on the way to winning just six of their first 24 games, at least they can lay claim to five regulation wins.
Know who can’t say that? That’s right, the Oilers.
Quote:
The Oilers have surrendered a league-high 84 goals on the season so far, putting them on pace to surrender 300 on the season. (OK, the math works out to exactly 299.5, but close enough).
Last year, only one team hit the 300 mark. The aforementioned Sharks allowed 315. The difference is, San Jose is on the way back up, while the Oilers — considering there is only one more thing they could do to improve upon the second-place finish of the past two years — are obviously on their way down.
It’s been meteoric. And we’re not talking about heights here.
Quote:
MacKinnon has 36 points (a league-leading 16 goals, 20 assists) in 20 games and McDavid has 32 points (nine goals, and a league-leading 23 assists) in 23 games. That’s not bad. In fact, that’s upper-echelon good. Until you look at the plus-minus ratings of the two superstars.
MacKinnon sits at a league-best plus-22, ahead of teammate Cale Makar’s plus-20.
OK, so what’s McDavid’s plus rating, you ask? The simple answer is, it’s not.
It’s minus-6, meaning he has been on the ice for six more goals-against than the Oilers have scored with the generational talent leading the charge. THAT’S how bad things are going for the Oilers right now,
Quote:
That’s how bad the rest of this Oilers roster is, when McDavid and Draisaitl’s ongoing efforts can’t even push this team over to the winning side of the tracks.
Quote:
Either way, it’s just the rumblings of a bad team at this point.
More articles like that please!

Oilers fans are crying hard now because AJ Greer reposted a tweet on his instagram of some Oilers fan Kevin McCurdy who called him a piece of #### along with a picture of him.
Sure in hindsight, they say they could have offered a first, but did they really?
People love to run on these comments as sure fire things, but it was probably we will give you our first and you have to take nurse and Kane and give us Hughs.
It has been pretty well noted, that up until recently Edmonton felt their goaltending was good enough, willing to make an upgrade if it made sense, but let's be honest. There is no way Edmonton offered their first for Silov straight up.
Even with reservations it's unlikely that Vancouver wouldn't have pulled the trigger on that.

They're not saying a 1st was offered. They are saying Vancouver wouldn't trade Silovs to the Oilers, even if they had offered a 1st plus prospects. No offer from Edmonton would have been good enough, Silovs was never going to be an Oiler no matter what.
Hutson probably not long for the organization either as when they need to make their usual deadline trades they'll have to add him to their 2027 1st round pick to get the deal done.
Good, Vancouver thought they were a playoff team...why give a rival exactly what they need?
Except...really...thats not what Edmonton 'need.'
Sure, a better goalie would be nice, but its not like Silovs is the next incarnation of Hasek or anything.
What Edmonton 'need' is to play some defence. You can rinse and repeat the Goalie Carousel but if they're going to get lit up every night its not really moving the needle all that much.
Yes, Skinner and Pickard are not good but thats not really the crux of the problem. If you're giving up a dozen 10-Bell chances from Downtown all night it doesnt really matter who is in net.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
The Oilers have been a terrible drafting team for a long time. It is crazy how few hits they have outside their top picks. Even those were not the best
