Yes the UCP is not doing well at all, I have expressed serious reservations and concern to friends of mine in cabinet.
Most voters of any party usually just vote for an issue or two or go with a candidate that happened to stop by their home , business or gathering space.
Only the people who are really into politics, policy and the inner dealings really pay attention. The NDP lead by Singh was beyond a disaster and a sad sack of patheticness during his entire tenure. How many voters in Alberta and Canada would make the connection that the AB NDP and feds are really different? How many people knew that the BC Liberals are effectively a conservative party?
I am old school and prefer to go after politicians as opposed to going after voters

The next time you speak to your friends in cabinet can you tell them to stop be the biggest degenerate pieces of donkey #### this province has ever seen. Follow that up with a simple statement “ You are being ####s.”
Verbatim, no paraphrasing please.
I’d appreciate it

I see that one of the MLAs compared gender reassignment surgery to livestock today. Everyday they get more and more deplorable, and increasingly disgusting. I think I hate them as much as possible, and they come out the next day and prove me wrong!
Just this week:
- Notwithstanding clause so they can violate trans rights
- a new bill for two-tier health
- the Dynacare report and fiasco is released
- this ridiculous anti-vax “professional freedom of speech” bill
- an MLA compares gender reassignment to livestock
I can only imagine what garbage tomorrow will bring to close this week out.

If you have friends in the UCP cabinet it’s probably a sign that you need to find new friends.

Nice, does this mean teachers could actually speak their minds with no professional repercussions?

So every week, I send an email to my MLA with the subject "This Week in Alberta and UCP" .
I detail, just like you did, all the ####ty things they do every week. I try and keep it serious and direct, but sometimes, I can't help but make it drip with sarcasm and congratulate them for say bringing measles back.
The crazy thing is, each week tops the previous for incompetency and ethics l.
I strongly recommend it. It does offer a bit of comfort knowing that I am doing a small part.

The premier regularly describes puberty blockers as being sterilizing, which is a complete lie. But that's what she is doing to justify her bigoted position. And people believe it, because you should be able to believe your premier. Why she can get away with that sort of stuff and not get called out in the legislature and reprimanded for it is beyond me.

. Inducing an abortion was a crime in Canada until 1988, when the Supreme Court of Canada struck down the law as unconstitutional. Since then, abortion has been legal at any stage in a woman’s pregnancy. Abortion is publicly funded as a medical procedure under the Canada Health Act.
In Canada, the provinces administer public medical services. (See Distribution of Powers.) With this power, some provincial governments have tried to ban private abortion clinics; or refused to fully fund them out of the public purse. In 1993, Morgentaler challenged the Nova Scotia Medical Services Act all the way to the Supreme Court. It struck down the provincial law banning abortion clinics in that province. Also in the 1990s, the governments of Alberta and Newfoundland and Labrador were penalized under the federal government’s Canada Health Act for allowing private billing at provincial abortion clinics. After the penalties, the provinces agreed to fully fund the clinics.

lol the chances curves has a friend in cabinet, let alone more than one friend in a cabinet of <30 people is obviously zero and made up. If you believed curves knows everyone he says he knows he’d be one of the most high profile Albertans in the province, not sitting at home drinking chalet sauce.

They’ll ram an anti-abortion bill through with the notwithstanding clause to pre-empt any possible court challenge.

Unless its a very, very, very late term Abortion for one Danielle Smith. I'd consider an exception.

It’s amazing how closely the UCP are following the MAGA/Project 2025 playbook. And they’re doing it at almost the same pace. What’s next? Using the notwithstanding clause to suspend elections? Sure seems like it’s headed that way.

You’re not wrong.
Who’s pushing the pedals of the UCP-cycle?
The Heritage Foundation for one.
