				 Anyone here use Craiglist?

I check the site every day for good deals. There are a lot to be found, especially in the free section. I have picked up a free dog house (worth probably a couple hundred bucks) 250 free landscaping bricks, and a free stove.Having said that, I can't believe some of the people that post items on there for sale, mostly used BBQ's.
I can't believe people are asking $100 to $150 for a 10-15 year old BBQ when you can go out and buy a new one for almost that price.

Something along the same lines.

There's also http://www.usedcalgary.com/ which seems to be getting more traffic lately.

I'm on it all the time. I'm always in the real estate section and in the rental section, as well as the sporting goods crap.
Stuff is pretty expensive on it though, it seems like people use it to try and fleece someone else (especially in the cas eof real estate).

After watching Entourage the other night, I'll avoid Craigslist. I don't want to dress up like a furry just to have sex.

In Van, Craigslist is huge. I've never met a person here who doesn't use it. Calgary will soon follow IMO because it's just so good!

I've used it in Vic quite a bit... when I was moving out of my place I got rid of a ton of crap by using that site. Hell, thats how I got rid of my place too.

I bought a bike, camera and off-loaded my piece of crap futon. I think it works and your right Winsor, it will eventually be as popular in Calgary as it is here in Van.
There are of course some bizarro links in there too....

Meh - I've found most sellers are clueless as to pricing on Craig's list. At least on eBay there's an international presence and other listings to keep things in check.
Worst of all is computer equipment. People don't truly appreciate how bad these retain their value, and always base it on what they spent to buy it, vs fair market value, or the price of a new, better model.

For instance, this guy: Why buy 1 yr old when you can get this year's better model for less, brand new? http://calgary.craigslist.org/sys/385297705.html |

When I moved here from Halifax, I found my apartment on craigslist and have since found a bed, dresser, lamp and now a new job.
safe to say without it I would be homeless... hah... or still in Nova Scotia

Too bad the calgary r&r is so terrible. I like reading the best of, but it's only updated every few weeks.

I picked up all my pairs of Flames/Canucks tickets on CL last season, IMO less of a hassle than ebay, even though I had to drive to Richmond once.

I actually ended up having to surf Craigslist for half my work day and will likely do the same tomorrow. It's a tuff living...

I have used Kiji to sell a few things and everything has run very smoothly.
 Never used craglist.
