MTG is the platonic ideal of what Dunning & Kruger were talking about, she floats through the world looking for any tiny piece of information she didn't know that would contradict what others would expect, all in service of feeling she has a superior intellect. As soon a she hears something she perceives counter intuitive she runs up and down yelling about how everyone else is an idiot for not knowing it.

It's not all that surprising to find out that she thinks it counterintuitive that the republicans were the ones at the head of a global child rape ring. And it's not all that surprising she would latch onto it and start a fight as soon as it became so obvious even she had to see it. Doesn't mean she's reformed, it doesn't mean she's getting any smarter, it just means her gut reaction is a little better calibrated on this one.

Not quite - there will be a vote to release in the House. If successful, then it goes to the Senate. If successful there, Trump can veto.

And if he does, which -- if it even gets to that point -- I'm sure he will, then another vote can be held in the House and the Senate to override that veto, requiring a two-thirds majority.

Every vote will be on-record, and anyone voting nay will have it permanently recorded that they voted *not* to release the evidence... against child molesters.

Trump going after Seth Meyers again, and it seems like that FCC stooge is backing him. Has there ever been a politician that's been this petty? I don't think even Stalin went after individuals like Trump has. It's baffling how a President has all the time in the world to continuously make dumb tweets all night long. Ehhh....I think Stalin still retains the crown on that score. I think the major difference is that Trump is being petty and immature whereas Stalin was a raving paranoid delusional maniac.

Ehhh...I guess 'raving paranoid delusional maniac' would apply to Trump as well, he just doesn't have the luxury of having convenient places like Siberia to off-load his undesirables.

I think he has probably just come to terms with the likelihood that the House will vote to release them and wants to appear like he is for it. I am sure he will still be hoping the Senate will stop is, and then he'll veto if he needs to.
