You're right, let people be happy. Some people let the food on their plate get cold watching other people eat.

Christmas is only ranked number one north of the 40th parallel. Any Australian who makes a big deal about Christmas is a wanker. At its heart Christmas is about it being dark and cold and needing some ####ing god damn time off.

Well, it's basically a winter solstice holiday. That's why the lights and lighting things up is such a big part of it.

If you implement MFA and need to email a verification code make sure your system is set up to handle these requests instantly. Waiting for 5 minutes for a verification code in order to log into a system is stupid design.

Christmas also gets a lot of help:
basically 2.5 days off, with less than a week before the next stat holiday.
hidden in the darkness of winter
no other religious holidays near it.
arbitrarily given the birth of our "saviour" as the reason for its creation
massive amounts of consumerist backing
It's the New York Yankees of holidays.

Is anyone else's garbage and dishwasher 140% full 100% of the time regardless how much you take them out or do them?
Can't possibly start a dishload at 90% full else the world will perish.

Absolutely. If it’s like 25% full and you need one pot or pan the next day that gets washed by hand.

I wandered into the chip aisle at the grocery store last night, was feeling snackish, for the first time in months...wtf is a bag of mostly air with a few chips at the bottom $5?

Something is always on sale. I don't know why anyone would pay 5 bucks for a bag of chips when a bag of Lays, Old Dutch, or Miss Vickies are always on sale for 3-4 dollars at any supermarket I've been at.
Unless your unbelievably fussy and only eat one particular brand.

It was Lays at 5 bucks. Old Dutch was less by a bit. Miss Vickies was more then 5.
Store brand was 2 something.
I have seen deals like you mentioned but not last night.

Ya I guess I shouldn't say always but most of the time. If I don't see anything I want for 4 bucks or less I don't buy but I am so not fussy and I refuse to pay 5...a mans gotta have principles!
If I'm craving a salty snack I'll pick up just about anything on sale, except the cheaper brands that like you say are 2 something as they taste greasier.
I'll go with tortilla chips(we have great homemade salsa) or hawkins cheezies if they're on sale too.
