Nope. Not many people are going to have large families like that when the economy is in the tank, no matter the goodies Putin offers. Young people today are having less children, not more.
I guess I needed green text for problem fixed.

McFaul: If Russia stayed quasi-democratic and integrated with Europe, it could be one of the most important countries now. Instead, Putin overreached in Ukraine. He wrecked Russia's economy and slaughtered young people. https://twitter.com/user/status/1985336002349564303

Another sign of decreasing Russian international influence. Serbia now openly says they will sell ammo to EU countries for use in Ukraine, and that they produce more ammo than France and are willing to sell all of it. https://twitter.com/user/status/1985285070249468160
The numbers are staggering. The conflict is so large that there is news on so many fronts, militarily and geopolitically. Thank you for gathering these up Cheese. It's hard to keep up.
Vucic is a political weasel, so he'll say anything. But it is mildly interesting that probably Russia's closest ally (besides Belorussia) is openly saying things now that would piss off Moscow.

Yes, I think of him often but don’t know him personally. This is their most recent post here (2023):

The most shocking thing is that the Russians are punishing her. She must have forgotten to bribe the right people. I Googled this story and the reports are kind of vague, but it sounds like she isn't officially charged yet. A judge ordered her to be imprisoned as a preventative measure for the next 3 weeks while the investigation continues. I guess they do things a little differently over there.
I don't have a lot of faith that they are trying to locate and return the trafficked children though. Some of the children she is accused of selling may not even be in Russia anymore.

Thank you. For your time, your effort. And your commitment to posting the news of this war. I know it must be terribly time consuming, and it must be heart breaking a lot of the time as well. This isn't a feel good story.
I know I'm not alone in here in how much I appreciate all that you contribute, and have for the last few years. It's selfless, and I can't thank you enough.
I appreciate you!

Incredible to see the casualties the Russians have incurred so far. A testament to the ruthless efficiency and stubborn bravery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Thank you! As a Ukrainian with family in Ukraine I have a personal desire to keep on top of things. Many tears have been shed.

Freshco (at least the one I frequent) has a new display of Christmas chocolates imported from Ukraine.
Give them a try they are pretty delicious and I thought it was a pretty nice display. With the war about to enter its 4th year a small reminder that Ukraine still tries to live a life of normalcy and shouldn't be forgotten.

My old barber shop turned into a liquor store, which was convenient(I call it Barber Booze). I didn't want to question the owner (pretty sure husband/wife) of "where are you from" but their accent sounded like they could be Ukrainian. It came up in chit chat one day, and ya, they fled when the war started. Super nice, they've order me in gluten free beers, and the lady recommended a Ukrainian vodka when I asked if they had anything from back home(unable to sample the Ukrainian beers they have). Anyway, this stuff is really good, I think it was around $30. I'm not a big vodka connoisseur, but it's a load better than Smirnoff.

The liquor store in Deer Ridge close to Dairy Queen has a few Ukrainian workers. Not only is it probably the lowest priced liquor store in town, but there's a great selection of UA vodka to choose from.
And yes, thank you Cheese for your updates and keeping this thread alive. I am personally so sick and tired of this crap but my household has no choice but to keep going and hoping for the best.
