It’s a win, and a shame Wolf lost the shutout at the end - would’ve been nice to see the kid stack one up this year.
I absolutely loathe hockey of that level though. Legitimately one of the worst hockey games I’ve watched from start to finish. Horrendous hockey.

I’m as negative as most these days but you gotta touch grass buds. Get out of that wheelchair and stretch out. Fataing zero positive ever. No one enjoys what you add.

I think the Flames tried to create offence with passes to the middle, but there were a lot of intercepts and deflected passes.

It's not surprising to me that Huberdeau was the one guy who found ways to score. He can pass a puck through the eye of a needle, if only the target has the wit to receive that pass. Even in a low-event game and a low-event system, he shows flashes of the skill that got him 115 points that one year in Florida.

Screw you guys! There are going to be somewhere between 25-35 wins this season. I will fricken enjoy every single one of them no matter how low event, boring, or how counter-productive people say it is. A win is like finding an ice-cold pitcher of water while walking through a scorching, barren wasteland. Enjoy it while it lasts. Savour it. The losses are going to pile up.
The prospects are going to need to learn how to play low-event hockey anyway. That's a lot of pressure on Wolf, for instance, to make those timely saves when he isn't getting much action. Or for Parekh to play a clean, mistake free game. The young kids need to learn how to play this way in order to close out games. I don't love it either, but there are always moments that are fun and exciting.
When there is more talent on this roster again, then the Flames will become an exciting team to watch, regardless of who the coach is or isn't by then. Flyers are essentially a rebuilding team as well, and I think they are coming out of it too early. Dvorak is the #1 C? Who is their #1D? I think Flames West end up building a better and more exciting team than Flames East will.

Uh-oh, you're talking about culture… which I have been assured does not exist.
