Time to spend the next 5 years getting some top talent, not just mediocre draft picks. Until then, enjoy losing.

Blah blah blah, no talent, blah blah blah. The hoops people will jump though to defend this coach is hilarious!

Can't believe they are playing Parekh. They should be letting him heal up. Something Something Flames medical staff.
Did i do that right?

I’m happy with two of those decisions.
Kind of think Cooley earned a start but interested to see how Wolf bounces back.

You don't need hoops just a look at the roster!

Glad to see Parekh in. Still open to having him go to WJC to dominate and get some confidence back

Sometimes you just have to accept when you are wrong. This is a bad roster and the results are as expected. It's why all the simulations run before the season had the Flames out of the playoffs. If we were non-Flames NHL fans from afar looking at this roster we would be calling it one of the worst in the league as the only people that think the Flames are underachieving is Flames fans that have maybe sipped on a little too much of the kool aid.

I know you’re highly critical of the coach, which is fine, but I find this whole narrative really boring and bordering obnoxious.
The amount of times I see criticisms about people jumping through hoops to defend him, calling him amazing/best coach, etc, far, far outweigh the number of people who have ever said or done that. It’s easy to criticize him and it’s easy to defend him, hoops and exaggeration unnecessary.
I only mention it because you’re better than guys like Rhett and Infit or whatever his handle is when you actually have regular convos with people. You don’t need to put yourself down to that level.

Some people on here think Huska is a good coach. Despite our offensive system being "put pucks on net from the perimeter and try harder". And also a coach who uses chat GPT.
It is absolutely hilarious. But I am all for the tank so we need to keep him.

Stupid question.
Have you ever tried to listen to what other people are saying?

Have the lines been announced yet? I see that Parekh and Zary are back in but nothing else.

The roster and even Huska's system is fine but only when the team is down 2 or 3 goals, if only we could hypnotize the players and coaches to thinking they're down 3 goals at puck drop.

Yes, look at the roster. They are a middle of the pack forward group. Even Gilbertson and Steinberg said as much at the end of last year. The roster has no superstar forward although Huberdeau was one until he got here. They do however have one of the deepest forward groups in the league. I get it though, no matter what the treams record is some people will defend the coach until the end. If we draft McKenna next year and he scores 20 points in his rookie year it will be because he has nobody to play with, not because the system allows zero offensive creativity at all. I have shown the numbers of our forward group in their past seasons and that is just ignored. It's totally normal for forwards to get here and regress by 20-30 points from what they normally get I guess.

I don't know that you do get it. There's nothing middle of the pack about this forward group. Depth without top shelf talent already puts you in the lower echelon in the league.

Say what you want about tanking. I’d rather see wolf, zary, coronato, etc. playing great and winning games. I’m sure my opinion will be called stupid.

So where would you slot the players.
I'm not jumping through hoops, I don't say Huska is a great coach, or the team's beset coach ever.
I just don't see much talent.

A loss today would be a really big swing on the hammer into the nail of the season's coffin. The schedule softened, but the results did not change. A loss today just pushes Mission McKenna forward, and really that's the priority for this season now, and a realistic one at that.
It's a great day for Flames hockey! Philly has some exciting players to watch. Zegras has regained form, Michkov is dynamic. This will be a fun tilt, I hadn't seen - but I hope Vladdy gets the start, I want to see how he's doing over there.
