You shorten your expected life span by not getting vaccinated for Covid. Thats an acceptable choice for you to make but making fun of people who choose to get vaccinated seems childish at this point.
I would recommend that you reevaluate why you believe what you believe

It's called a probabilistic outcome.
But I can hear the whooshing noises as I type this and don't know why I'm wasting my time.
I'm talking to someone who has their 81 year and 237 day birthday marked in their calendar so they make sure to do everything they wanted before they die that day.

My buddy is/was a lifer there. 20+ years maybe 25. He’s devastated. He’s talked to our resident CP employment lawyer.
Had to fill out the form to say not moving to Edmonton. Will likely be severed but they give a very long timeframe. He thinks late 2027. He’s devastated but I’m like “that’s a long time buds, I’d love a guarantee like that than none of us get”.

I have a coworker that gets all nuts about Covid and vaccines. He will rant for an hour. If I see him in someone’s office talking, I’ll poke my head in and bring up vaccines and leave and they will be trapped for 45 minutes about vaccines.
They will come by later and call me a huge a-hole! It’s way better than a fart.

No but they were told to on lay off day. I think you still can if you have something to do. But expectation is 5 days in office.

I was punted in the pandemic y email. The absolute turnip HR person from the lay off company that rhymes with Whitecap sent an email the day before to the entire company that you would get an email the next day deciding you fate.
The ###### didn’t bcc it and the names were sorted so everyone knew who was getting punted and who wasn’t. 85% gonezo.
Human Resources, neither human nor a resource.
They do not work for you always remember that.
I told mine some things that I thought they were confidential because she said it absolutely was. It was not.

If dollars and cents are the end goal - I can't think about a dumber way than to stretch a layoff period out for 2 years. As a 25 year lifer, maybe they're trying to go the working notice route to save a few bucks but having been in that situation - your productive output is like 15% of norm.
Give them the warrior's death - quick and simple.
SOBO was last week, Conoco and Parkland to come. No wonder why Costcos are so busy on weekdays now....
