Thanks to John Schneider for somehow managing to make every wrong decision to give a completely winnable game away.

Boneheaded substitutions cost us this game.

Including a couple times in extras, but Schneider created a black hole behind him. Felt like their only chance was for Vlad or Varsho to go deep. Back half of the lineup wasn’t even close.

The main mistakes Schneider made were not walking Ohtani in the 7th, and substituting out Barger. Not sure he could do much about how he used Little.
How do you think Little feels about is giving up another game losing playoff HR? Of course this all stems from when Schenider messed him up with the idiotic decision to put him in a foreign situation in Seattle.
Then his hollow words about trusting everyone in the room, only to not call Little to warm up in any game since. So much for the trust. And now he gets pinned with the loss.
And yes Schenider could’ve prevented these extra 9 innings with walking Ohtanhi instead of having him hit the game tying Hr.

Would have been nice to see Barger get 3 more ABs! Otherwise, I think the manager had no choice.

Blue Jays were down 2-0 at home in the LCS and rallied to win. Still lots of ball to be played.

Although injuries could be a big factor.

He looked to have zero power and was not threatening at any point IMO. If he was threatening tonight they would have walked him intentionally, especially in extras. That was very telling for me.

As others have mentioned, if Bo isn’t going the distance you can’t really bat him 4th and leave IKF having uncontested at bats behind Vlad the rest of the game.

We can harp on decisions all we want. But it was a unicorn of an 18 inning game where both teams had warts. The reality is the Dodgers had a hero, Klein, and the Jays didn't.

I think if you watch the tape, he tweaked something on a swing 8n final at bat.
Can't risk him being hurt and not playing the rest of the series
Or maybe I was already drunk then

That was fun. Long day for all of us tomorrow. Hopefully Beiber can eat some innings in game 4.

For tomorrow. Sorry, make that today.

Springer out. Bo questionable. Yeah, looks real bleak.

Yeah. The only real questionable sub was Barger.

Bichette was always coming out, no way was he playing 18 innings at 2nd. The key bad decision here is having Bo behind Vlad in the lineup when you know that will be IKF eventually.

Springer hurt himself. And really the Schneider sub almost worked, they probably should have stopped him at 3rd with Vlad on deck.

Kirk looked off when he was subbed out, and was grimacing. Him not playing 18 innings today probably isn't the worst thing big picture for this series, and Heineman got 1st to 3rd on that play which was the goal. They just failed to cash him in.

Barger is the one where you didn't gain much speed anyways, and you lost a potential impact bat.
