If I had two tips for people starting to play Hades 2 it would be get good at using your cast, and focus your energy on getting the resources required for your arcana. I guess the third would be getting the Olympians' keepsakes as soon as you can so you can level them quickly.

I'm really digging Cronos: The New Dawn. It's a little more than a Dead Space clone and actually does some things better. It only has one difficulty level and that's on the hard side as resources are scarce but it's never unfair.
"Borderlands 4 is a premium game made for premium gamers" is such a cringeworthy sentence. Can't believe he posted that.
I can belive he said it. All he's saying was the 1080 ti and 2080 ti was king but it time to move on. They had there day.to play you need modern specs . Seems simple enough to me.
I switched from using death defiances to strength in Hades II as I've seen that recommended and I must say it does feel quite a bit more powerful (as it should I guess), means I do look for more survivability in boons but I don't use the defiances as a crutch. I was able to get completed runs after that though I still haven't totally won Olympus yet, my first try on the last boss and I died in the last phase.
Only problem is the game seems slanted towards the defiances, there's so much support for them with lots of ways to refresh them, so I may try switching back to see if I can get more consistent completed runs.
I may also start focusing on a single weapon and build to try and get faster runs so I can farm things faster to get unlocks and advance the game.

I don't know if this is out there, but I met someone who works for EA Sports, and he said they're working on a new hockey game. He didn't go into much detail but did say it'll have multi-season leagues. He said the NHL-franchise team is small, and it's on an older platform and it doesn't get much funding compared to the FIFA franchise. Thought that was interesting.
Considering NHL probably sells one copy for every 10 or 20 FIFA does, not too surprising.

I ended up rotating to whatever nocturnal arm was handing out bonus bones most of the time lol. If you are trying to progress, maybe stick to the one you like most to learn the patterns/boss before trying to switch it up. I tended to like Descura and Lim & Oros most.
Ygnium was also kinda nice to just hold the attacks and just focus on learning the bosses I found. It let me dodge most of the attacks after getting a chance to see what was actually happening rather than worrying about targeting attacks.
I'll probably set it aside now rather than trying to push
Spoiler!
for 32 fear and higher. I'm sure I'll come back to it again like I did for the original

For most of the time the game has been available, Strength wad clearly superior to DDs. I don't know if they rebalanced something for launch... It inherently impacts the value of things like centaur hearts without changing their cost, though.
Spoiler!
Athena's keepsake also doesn't work well with DDs on and it's useful for a lot of runs / builds.

Yeah that's what I've been doing up till this point, but would like to get through runs faster just to farm faster for a bit.
I quite like the Thanatos aspect on Zorephet, I always seem to have a good run with that.
I need to get better at recognizing better builds as well, I saw a video yesterday where they mentioned that the boon that sets a minimum power on things affects everything, which I didn't really appreciate until they used it when they had the Zeus one that bounces lightning around which normally start out at 10 or something.
I'm not sure if they rebalanced it the community still seems to prefer strength but I do still see lots of youtube videos of high fear runs with defiances so might be more evenly balanced now and more a style/preference.

I was using strength over death defiance up until I started the Oath of Rivals for higher fear. The upgraded boss move sets can really kick your ass, especially the cyclops dude. Couldn't beat his upgraded form until I went back to DD, and even now after reaching the epilogue and getting the third champion of night trophy I still sometimes blow a DD on some of the earlier bosses if I'm doing a rivals run

I always sorta figured it was one or the other but does it ever make sense to stack the Strength and Death? Worth the arcana for the Strength on that last life?

You essentially want to balance your attack power bonuses with your percentage bonuses. If you're using an aspect that has a percentage damage boost, for example, having Hestia in your god pool for her +2 power per fire boon is a good bet. There are also certain bonuses that only impact damage boosts from gods and don't help with percentages - Poseidon is pretty much only worth taking if you're putting him on your attack or special but him plus Ares plus Hera (for extended family) can stack really well. Watching a couple of Haelian's runs on youtube can give you some ideas.
Last I checked the best aspects for each weapon were:
Spoiler!
Staff - Momos, but it's been nerfed heavily since a year ago when it was the best, and the best staff build is probably Mirrored Thrasher + Hestia regen + Aphro attack, in which case you might as well use Anubis or something.
Daggers - Pan - Also has been heavily nerfed as Poseidon special was OP, still very good
Torches - Still Moros, has been since the beginning.
Axe - Still Charon, again has been nerfed but with Apollo magic regen you can spam the cast explosion and instantly recover all your mp.
Skulls - Medea is still the easiest aspect to use effectively in the game out of all weapons. Zeus on the special, ignore omega moves altogether.
Coat - I like Selene personally, but for most people it's probably just Mel. The coat is just generally not objectively good, admittedly, even though I actually have more fun using it than half the other weapons.
This doesn't count the hidden aspects, but realistically for the most part those are more for fun than they are actually better. Axe and Staff might be exceptions given how nerfed Momus and Charon got towards the end of pre-release, though.

As far as I'm concerned, you always are going to have either Strength or DDs (and IMO it should be strength in nearly every case), and separate from that the most important Arcana are origination and maximum re-rolls to increase the likelihood of getting what you need for whatever build you're doing. Those are basically on for every run no matter what.
Next for me would be Furies not because it's totally necessary but because it works well pretty much no matter what build you're doing, and then increased epic boon chance as long as it's not a high-fear run where doing so would prime magic.
Everything else is pretty much build-specific. Huntress is good if your build isn't going to rely on omegas, sorceress if you are relying on them, etc.
