I honestly don't think it matters. Leadership 101 is being gracious and thanking the losing incumbent for their service and saying something nice about them. Being petty like that after the polls close is classless imo.

What is the likelihood we see Elections Calgary stop the count and restart tomorrow for a lot of races or even the Mayor? Tough to keep people awake and alert when a lot of them are senior and have been working since the early morning.
