Celebrated Square Root Day

More concerning than our pitching tonight is the bats look over excited and undisciplined. The jays do that every few games usually after theyve excelled, and then you're in for 2 , maybe 3 runs if you're lucky.

As a merely casual baseball fan it's a bit baffling.

Personally don't think so... he's been bad the last 2 games and I feel like he was on an 0 for 7 stretch. He's also a pretty poor hitter average wise but he definitely punishes muffins like that

Honestly it's more the pitch choices than the fact they pitched to him.
They should be feeding him fastballs off the plate, try to get him to chase, and if you walk him you walk him.
Instead they leave another change up hanging over the plate

It's only a matter of time I feel before the bats wake up for the Jays in this game. Keep it close and they've got this.

With one out, yes.
Cal doesn't run well, put him on and try to DP.

Im still extremely annoyed at the non call on Rodriguez’s check swing that led to his HR.

They’ve been okay handling Cal. It was just a bad pitch. Perhaps Varland is tired or those types of things happen. It’s still a very very close game.

I’ve been begging the Jays to run. It’s so important for so many reasons. They don’t do it though.
