Hanley-Parekh

If that was up top I wouldn't have bothered to read the rest of the lines lol.

Let's stick our prized rookie with the worst defender on the team, that way not only is he completely unsheltered even if i only give him 5 minutes, but he also cant learn anything (better not) from said partner on the ice in his limited playing time!!

Lomberg hasn't done what he's paid to do? He's done a lot more for his money than Sharangovich has.
Lomberg has often been late to scrums and laughing it up with veteran opposing players as he does. And no one is scared of him. He's small, not a good fighter and not really a pest.

And I'd say Bieksa put a huge spotlight on Sharangovich. If owners are watching they are picking up the phone.

He belongs with Bahl. If not Bahl, play him with Weegar.

To take Sharangovich off the Flames' hands? If they could be so lucky.

Is it really that surprising though? That's what the Flames brass have been saying all along.

I think they are and it is pretty shameful they had to be called out for it.

Sharangovich was benched/tossed by the Devils
He had a good year and collected his paycheck. Now back to his own unmotivated way.

He fleeced Conroy big time. I doubt anyone pick up the phone for him unless a big fat retention and draft pick compensation which Conroy won’t do. He is now a life long Flames with guaranteed job security

oh god lol...this player has been scratched in the past by the same coach. He was on the bubble and had been called out by the coach already this season. He was on thin ice, with Huberdeau back the coach has more options.

Hanley, currently, has the best defensive metrics on the entire D squad.

Better than Bahl, much better than Weegar.

They’ve been a positive pairing so I don’t mind it. Bahl/Parekh looks like the best pairing in the limited minutes they’ve all played together but Hanley/Parekh has the best shot differential out of any of his pairing so far (and still positive for overall generation).

Curious though, this is one of those "Kris Russell is a legendary defender" type of d-metric scenarios where the advanced stats don't at all match the eye test on Hanley.
I hadnt looked at that but find it basically unbelievable.

Parekh is a RD. So is Weegar. Making one of them switch sides won't help Parekh at all.

So the only real choices are Bahl (who is not moving away from Rasmus) and Bean. Or Hanley, who has been as steady as Bahl and steadier than Bean over the past season and a bit.

I feel so bad for Weeger . His playing partners for the most part in that last year are Hanley, Bean and miro. lol

I also would t put Parekh with him because of rd and he isn’t ready defensively for the matchups that weeger gets
