That's and acceptable trade in my opinion. Husso ain't great but he's a better back up until one of Prosvetov or Cooley wake up.

Flames really think Cooley still has starter upside.

Not sure lol. I just know they think he has the raw tools to be a very good goalie.

Well, how much runway will they give him ? If CMPDave is hearing they're shopping for a back up and Friedman saying tonight on air they're shopping for a back up, I cannot fathom his leash is long at all.
Wolf probably needs a stable veteran back up and not an unknown. Someone he can glean more experience off of.
Is Husso that guy? I don't think so. But for Miro it's an easy no brainer. I doubt Miro dresses for a single game with CGY this year unless the injuries force them to play him.

That could be. Maybe they don't feel he is ready. I just know they like him a lot.

Who knows, maybe our team and system meshes well with Husso, and he thrives. Doubtful, but maybe. It seems like he's spent most of his NHL career on sub-par teams...
In 2021-22, he went 25-7-6, with a 2.56 GAA, and a .919 SV% in 40 games with the Blues.

I'd much rather see the Flames bring in a past their prime vet here as the stop gap backup.
Maybe Conroy can convince Fleury to take another kick at the can LOL.

If Gridin keeps this up and both Huberdeau and Posposil are back in say 2 weeks, what do the flames do? Especially interesting if the team is playing well. Not saying either of those players aren’t inserted into the lineup. Of course they will be. I’m wondering what move Conroy does to make room for Gridin when they are back?
If the team is not playing well and it is looking like a rebuild year, I think it’s easier to justify sending Gridin down. But if the team is winning and Gridin is a contributor to that winning, I think Conroy will have to try to make some room. Really tough to send the kid down and say “I’ll find some room for you at some point - just keep playing well on the Wranglers till then.”
Trading Sharangovich and/or Farabee are the first options that come to mind but trading them early in the season would likely be trading them at their lowest value. Not sure Conroy will want to do that.
