Playoffs are weird. This one is a heartbreaker.

I was and continue to be very concerned about game 4. The bullpen hasn’t been able to get anyone out so far.

Leaving both Scherzer and Bassitt off of the playoff roster was really stupid. Having either of them would have given them options. Now they are backed into a bullpen day with a very shell shocked bullpen in the Bronx against a team that is feeling themselves.

A lot of Schneider decisions during the game will be talked about tomorrow but why put Santander in RF to start?

I’m of two minds
On one hand you are up 2-1. I take that all day
But baseball is weird and series can turn quickly sometimes particularly if you let a team like the Yankees off the mat
Overall I like Torontos chances to get one of the next two
And if it’s Lauer and Bassit tomorrow they have a chance

I’m hoping that someone “accidentally” steps on Bruihl tonight and they call up Bassitt as injury replacement.

Bassitt is not on the roster and isn’t able to pitch.

Not really, tomorrow looks grim so good chance this goes 5 and in a one game situation stupid things can happen. This was a massive missed opportunity and momentum has shifted.

Jays are still favourites but it’s completely fair to be quite worried.

One of springers worst games of the year.

No Bassitt but yes. You take 2-1 with a chance to clinch all day.

I’m just not as hopeful the Jays do this in New York now. Tall task for what will be a tired pen.

I am new to baseball and I don't understand the tired sentiments. Some of the Jays pitchers barely played before being replaced. Is baseball that hard on the body?

Well some have been suggesting they could activate him for tomorrow?

Ya same. Had never heard of a bullpen game before. Still don’t really get it.

Hard on arms particularly if they aren’t stretched out to go long

Relief pictures in baseball don’t do well pitching too often. It’s really hard on the arm and they tend to get tired quickly. There’s a reason starting pitchers get five days rest in between outings.
