They couldn't AI a Mammoth jersey on him ... lol. I honestly didn't have the irrational hate that many of you had for him. Am I glad we have other options this year - for sure, but I think he did a decent job in his role. Good for him. I wish him the best of luck in Utah.

Rooney on a 2-way contract makes a lot of sense as he's 4th line depth that you can send down or call up when injuries dictate. Rooney on a 1-way contract was kind of stupid.

I did a double take when I first saw the image. Signed and him in a Flames jersey lol. I was happy when he got his extension here after how Sutter treated him, and he was a good solider. Frustrating at times but I really don't have awful memories of his time here. That said, Utah is a younger quick team and I'm not sure he really fits.

So we can’t have option on NHL player any more because they are hard to get in?
