Hopefully Andersson isn’t -38 again by the trade deadline

Nurse's contract is terrible because they could really use that cap space for some help for the dynamic duo. We're not in that situation at all. For us it's just a poor return on the dollar. I like Huberdeau and he seems to have a great attitude and is putting in the effort, so I don't fault him at all for taking the money. Just sucks for us we aren't getting the production we had hoped for is all.
What are we going to do with all our capspace anyways? I don't see any superstar centers hitting UFA that would realistically pick us, and we don't have any young prospects that are going to eat it all up. Although it would be worth it if you could get McDavid as a UFA just to listen to the uproar from sweatpant nation.

I seriously hope they can pull this off.

The powerplays were 20 to 5 for Florida, who are one of the most penalized teams in hockey lol.
Total ended up with 322 PIMs.

90 points team Canada lol...punched in the head by Greer in a preseason game.
League was to blame for doing nothing to Greer from the previous game. Like I said Tampa brought the goon squad for revenge because the league dropped the ball.

Just realized Roberston hasn't been extended in Dallas still.
Wonder if we can sweeten an Andersson package to get him, provided theres interest to extend.
An advantage is the flames have the cap room to offer a more enticing number than the stars likely can.

That contract could be a crippling number imo. Likely close to 14-15m aav for him to sign in a non preferred destination. If it's sub 12m aav I think we could make that work but wouldn't want to move our 1st or Parekh.

First time 90 points, good for him. Lets see if he can keep it up, many examples of one hit wonders in the league.
There's a difference between a pay back and what Tampa did yesterday. They had no interest in actually playing hockey at any point. Also Florida didn't bring up any ahl goons who have zero chance of making the team. All were guys on PTOs or guys with an outside shot plus some regulars from last year.

Hagel is one of Tampa's top players you are being ridiculous...he was punched in the head by a 4th liner and the NHL gave him a fine.
Like I said the NHL asked for it by not taking care of it. I literally said TB brought in the goon squad I'm not sure what you are arguing? They totally were out for blood but honestly I don't blame them.

Sabourin, who's a plug even at the ahl level, came in and played 19 seconds. Took a run at Ekblad and then crosschecked him in the face and got a major. That's a payback although one could argue that it's a bit of an overreaction for a guy getting punched but whatever. That's not "fair enough" for I you assume.
That went on all night. If you can't see the difference then that's on you.
Also Florida has never done what Tampa did yesterday, bring up pure ahl plugs just to take runs at guys.
I get that you don't like Florida but it's bizarre you want to somehow justify what Tampa did by shifting the blame on the league.

I really don't get what you are arguing here lol...I said Tampa brought in the goon squad, I know what happened.
The league should have suspended Greer they let it get out of hand. You can't have 4th liners punching top players in the head (not in a fight a cheapshot) and just getting away with a $2000 fine. That is asking for it especially when the teams have another meaningless game the next day.
Tampa's goons can get suspended too what do I care...

You seem to think there is no history between the clubs and Greer started it on a whim. Are you ignoring the mini gangster act I made about Hagel and what he did last year? AGreer getting fined or the league dropping the ball had nothing to do with what happened yesterday, Hegel was going to get it one way or the other. And probably still is going to get it.

Disagree...Greer shouldnt have been playing yesterday, would have calmed things down. Now lets get the rumors thread back on track.

The Flames already have 34 million invested in left shot wingers, most of them signed for at least the next 3 seasons. They don't have space for the guys they have. We are going to have to start shifting some to D soon if we keeo acquiring them.

One of the reasons i couldn’t figure out the Farabee deal? Either flames scouting thinks he was drastically in need of a scene change or they wouldn’t give up frost without him and the flames see him as a reclamation and trade?

Taking a while to get to 5000

They do.
But I doubt they have any interest in adding a contract
