What is this "game 4" you speak of? The Jays have had good games against Fried more often than not recently, and the Yankees haven't seen Yesavage....it's gonna be a fun week however you slice it.

Wow what a game! Group of 5 Yankee fans in our row and several others in our section right beside the Bleachers. They were all quiet through most of the game except for when they got the bases loaded and cut the lead in half. Overall, pretty surprisingly respectful for Yankees fans.
Was so tense at 2-1 but damn was it ever fun! Crowd was BUZZING tonight, GO JAYS!!

Just got back the hotel for the night. What an unreal experience that was! That's the best and most fun atmosphere I've ever seen at a sporting event. Was really tense when it was 2-1 and then Jays blew the game wide open. Let's GO JAYS! Can't wait until tomorrow

Amazing game and awesome crowd. Toronto did Canada proud today.
I was there for the 8-1 Mariners collapse so didn’t take anything for granted. But I did feel pretty confident in the last couple of innings.
Yankees fans were verrrrrry quiet all game. Hopefully we get a repeat of that tomorrow.

Jays putting a defense first lineup out today in front of Yesavage. But pretty similar to what they’ve done against lefties most of the year
Some thunder on the bench with Barger, Santander and Lukes.
Keep it close, have good AB’s against Fried so he can’t go too long. Then play the matchups and punish their pen

I like seeing Schneider in - vs a lefty and he can take some long at-bats. Would be good to run up Fried's pitch count early and make it to the pen.

I dunno about this. I'm a bit skeptical about having Schneider in the lineup as well as IKF, versus the alternatives on the bench. Seems like too much defence. Hope they can prove me wrong here.

The alternatives are Santander and Barger, who are both likely swing and miss candidates.
Give the rookie on the mound some good defence behind him, and get our batters working the pitch count to get into their bullpen as quick as possible.
I’ll give credit to Santander yesterday though, that first ten pitch at bat was useful, even if it ended with a K.

Schneider actually had worse numbers vs. Lefty pitching than right. If anything they should have kept Lukes in the lineup as he was better vs lefties than Scneidrr, Barger, or IKF.

I really don't mind the lineup. They are doing what they did basically all year. Its worked so far

I suppose in my mind sometimes you just have to let your best players play instead of overthinking it. In order to win we're going to have to score one more run than them. Lukes has high confidence right now, so it would be nice to see him there. I suppose I'm overthinking it too considering they're all available as replacements so it's not all skepticism, though I'd have preferred going to a D first lineup later in the game.

I don’t disagree, but what John Schneider has proven is he likes to use all his guys and make them feel like they’re contributers.
He’ll often use up a lot of his bench players during a game, so just because you’re starting on the bench doesn’t mean you’re not getting in.
And usually he saves his defensive players for near the end but I think this move is being done to boost Yesavage’s confidence as much as possible on the mound.
4th career MLB start and it’s a playoff game against the Yankees. Wow.

I certainly think a very good case could be made both ways for sure.
I think the Jays are just comfortable playing this way right now, having an all hands on deck approach. Favouring righty batters against LHP, left batters against RHP etc.
Their versatility was truly a huge part of what got them here

I think questioning the platoon mentality of the team when the platoon mentality of the team is what got them where they are is a bit silly.
