Almost 4 episodes into Monster, Ed Gein, and frankly it's kinda garbage. The first Monster series was intense, second, interesting, this one a little too artistic with overacting. Charlie Hunnam (sp?) is a good actor and all but it's just an artsy script that's a little odd.
On another note, I binged The Studio last week. Hadn't even heard of it all these months but it was super well done. Best series I've watched in a couple years.

I'm 3 in and its been a bit disappointing thus far. I agree, a little too artistic and not as concerned as telling the story.
I've seen a lot of documentaries about Ed Gein, and while fascinating, that guy was a true psychopath and while interesting he was a real POS.

Could have sworn I saw House of Guinness was a limited series, but it's clearly not.
The show is really entertaining. Trashy fun.

Finished it. They try early to allude to other killers and movies based on his actions, but it's poorly done in the early episodes. Anyway, interesting in Ep 8 was the ode to Mindhunter through the FBI profilers. I still don't know why they didn't continue the show. Surely it didn't cost that much in comparison.
