Yeah but the Yankees are far worse because Boone is a comically bad manager. Red Sox would have a huge manager edge and pitching edge.

Both teams are beatable, I don't think you really worry about which one you get.

It's 2025 MLB, everyone is beatable. Sport is close to peak mediocrity.

Just saw the highlights and another super lazy play by Duran there in the 9th. For someone who is cocky with his speed on the bases, he turns into a scared turtle in the outfield.
Saw him do the same thing at a game late in the season, just like tonight, where the slower center fielder has to run an extra 20 feet to try and get to the ball.

Francona is the ultimate underdog manager. What he was able to do with the Reds this year is incredible. Don't get me wrong. They're only a playoff team because of the Mets being hilarious. But if there is a dude who can coach to an upset it would be him.

So you’re saying the Reds are due!

Celebrated Square Root Day
|
Progressive stadium holds nearly 35000 in Cleveland. They had 26000 today. So weird to have games during the work day the way MLB does that. I'd cancel my season tickets the first time that happened and I had to work. So stupid.

Yeah, that's ridiculous. If I paid for 81 regular season games and then the playoffs were Tuesday/Wednesday at 1PM with 36 hours notice and I couldn't go I'd be so pissed.

I'm not sure if this is true though. I just saw a post that said the Phillies did it in 2008.

I saw a post that said the Phillies had done it as well but not sure if regular season or in playoffs is the qualifier for that record.

They've played a lot of regular season baseball games a year for a long time - that would have happened many times in the regular season.
But it's always nice to celebrate Yankee's fails.
