I can't believe CroCop isn't here to celebrate the Jays winning the American League title.

I'm sure he'll be front and center if they lose in the playoffs though lol

And some people try and call out those whiners and think they're holier than though.

Every fan is different and process the ups and downs in their own way. Trying to make people feel bad or perceive them in a negative light is silly. We're all fans. Posting on a message board with what's supposed to be other fellow fans. So there's no point trying to put people down for being emotional. We're all just trying to process things our own way.

Wow, I was so concentrated on how bad the white Sox were, but after looking at the standings for the first time, the Rockies lost 119 games?!

Santander's eye isn't there but he's swings look magnificent. If he does figure it out this year he's worthwhile keeping in the lineup for the playoffs as they need that bomb element. I don't trust him in the field though, so him as a DH works.

No to Max being on the roster, though I hope he can be along for the trips. I'd much prefer taking a chance on Berrios or a bullpen day. After today's outing, I'd also give Gausman game 2, and Bieber game 1. Yesavage game 3.

Most fans cheer the highs and lament the lows. That's normal.

It's the whiny complainers that only show up to bitch that I find irritating.

Jays home record was something else.

Thank goodness they clinched the 1st seed and have home advantage for the DS. Also the CS if they make it.

Players not on the roster are allowed in dugout ("within reason") so Max could go along even if not pitching.

I think "bullpen day" is a face-saving way to say "Lauer gets game 4" to Berrios, Bassit, and Scherzer, which is fine.

Teams should use an opener more often anyway to pick matchups at the top of the lineup and reduce the number of times the best hitters see the starter, so giving Lauer an opener doesn't seem like a problem to me.

lol. What’s with the hard on for me. I checked in earlier but I actually had better things to do following the big win than on the message board today. Make no mistake I’m no less happy than anyone here they pulled this off, didn’t look good days ago and a wildcard series would’ve been big trouble. As for saying the season was lost…ya it was little rash but considering where we were trending at the deadline and Hoffman being Hoffman I was fired up they didn’t improve there and that could still rear up in the playoffs but I would probably walk that comment back a bit now.

Just hope the Red Sox and Yankees series goes extra innings all 3 games.

Both teams have their flaws and are very inconsistent, and I don’t see these games kick anyone back into gear offensively, it’s just going to wear on their pitching.

Had the Jays in 30 game on the background a couple of times. It cannot be stated enough how huge the Fluharty strike out in the 4th was. Jays up 5-4 but the Rays threatening with the bases loaded. A base hit or shot to the gap there could've rattled the jays. But then to walk off the mound with that emotion. Absolutely electric.

Fluharty has been good over the last bit. Actually, the Jays entire bullpen has.

I'll also be going to some playoff games. We should figure out how to meet up on Saturday, though it'll be crazy in the ballpark, so maybe before/after would be easier

Yesterday's game was fantastic because aside from the giant win to secure the division, a massive number of guys got the monkey off their backs, hopefully. Barger, Kirk found their bats after struggling for so long and even Vladdy I thought had a better game than his last few. Getting Barger and Kirk back on track though I feel will be massive.

Do we think 5-6 days is enough for Bichette to return? Or will it be a Game 3/4 appearance?

If they make the next round, my brother and I committed to going, even though I am sure it will be hella expensive.

If they had clinched even 3 days earlier we would be going next weekend but life gets in the way.

Fingers soooooo crossed they win their first series and I can go!

I’m still amazed how crappy the Jay’s starter’s records are for the league’s best team….11-9 and 10-11 for the top two winners, and the playoff starters are 10-11, 4-2, and 1-0. Not saying they’re bad pitchers but man it’s been a committee all season.

It’s also indicative of the hitters inability to put up runs against other teams’ starters, meaning the Jays starters are usually not in line for the win when they exit.

Jays led the league in comeback wins. Any playoff success will come down to the late innings: can the Jays bullpen be effective; and can the jays hitters get to elite playoff caliber bullpens.

Do you think Schneider has a quicker hook than other managers too?

The Khaki's tell John how long a pitcher can go for.
