Seems appropriate to close out this unexpected regular season with a sweep of the Rays.

Great to see, especially since the whole lot of them are under control next season. Only FA reliever is Dominguez.
Plus guys like Burr, Sandlin and Yimi are also under control too.

I know one thing for sure, Jays aren't losing in the wild card round this year.

So starters are
G1: Gausman
G2: Bieber
G3: Yesavage
Then G4 gets interesting. Could go Scherzer, bullpen day (heavy on Lauer) or even Gausman on short rest. I'd probably pick the bullpen day. Especially if it's the Yankees - I wouldn't pitch Scherzer and his high propensity for long fly balls against them.
Then G5 could be either Gausman on an extra day of rest (assuming he didn't pitch G4) or Bieber on regular rest.

26 man roster for the playoffs is also a bit interesting.
It isn't obvious to me that the Jays are better off with Santander than Loperfido. Although they could keep them both and run with 12 pitchers given that everyone will be rested coming in to the ALDS and there's 2 off days in the middle. Probably it's bad politically for the manager to not take the GM's recent big FA signing on the playoff roster.
And:
Gausman
Bieber
Yesavage
Lauer
Dominguez
Fischer
Fluharty
Little
Nance
Rodriguez
Varland
Hoffman
Seems reasonable to me. Although no Scherzer is maybe difficult as well.

Some people just whine, it's what they do.
"Season was lost" after the trade deadline when the Jays didn't add a different closer.
Same thing when the bullpen went into a funk in August. And again when the offense slumped the last 2 weeks of the season.
Sky is always falling for some.
