He gives them a lot of material...besides do you think a day went by in the 90s that Clinton wasn't mentioned?
I get that Trump gives them a lot of material, saying dumb and offensive stuff everyday. However, sometimes I want to pretend Trump isn't a thing and talk about something else going in the world.
I do remember Leno making a lot of Clinton sex jokes and one of my favorite lines from SNL is Phil Hartman's Clinton jogging into a McDonalds and telling the secret service, "There's going to be a whole bunch of things we're not going to tell Mrs. Clinton, fastfood is the least of our worries." That being said, I don't remember late night comedians focusing their entire monolog every night on everything Clinton said. They talked about other things too, like the OJ Simpson trail.
I think we all wish Trump would get ignored and just go away, but he's such an attention seeking egomaniac that he makes it virtually impossible to ignore him. Add that in with his extreme stupidity and he just offers far too many layups for late night shows.

Clinton was not a threat to democratic institutions.
Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
The battle outside ragin'
Will soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'
It's impressive that you managed to go from "Kimmel whining about Trump is bad for viewership so the network cancelled him" to "Kimmel's highest viewer counts are when he's whining about Trump" in a span of three posts.
I would love to take a look inside your brain, if only to understand how the wheel keeps spinning when the hamster is already dead.
Bravo sir, GOAT post.
Though it's too bad messages like these just roll off their smooth brains.
Jimmy's return monologue was great. It was heartwarming to see millions of view within a couple of hours of it being uploaded with words of support from all around the world. Drumpf in his attempt to squash his critics has inadvertently made Kimmel much more relevant than before.
Long live free speech (including the kind the orange fuhrer doesn't like).
In my defense, the target will never have the same appreciation as the spectators. That, and everyone witnessing Hackey's thumbless grasp of his own argument in such a short span made it that much better; by comparison, our conversations are a bit long.

Not even Colbert does his whole monologue about Trump.

That would be an interesting concept...
All the late night talk shows, cable and broadcast agree to say absolutely nothing about Trump and the Republican party for 1 - 2 weeks.
I think Trump would complain that they aren't talking about him...
