Grogu is everything Star Wars has been looking for. Both sells toys and isn't hated.

And he's an amoral monster! Remember when he spent a whole episode eating that family's babies??

Agreed that trailer is great. Tugs at the right strings. I don't care, I love this part of Star Wars and my kid is going to love that movie too. Zeb going HAM is the highlight.

Also your second statement reminded me of this:

Thats Star Wars. Just you wait. Grogu is going to become a Dark Lord of the Sith, I'm talking full 100% heel-turn.

Oh yeah. Yoda was one of the greatest Jedi? Grogu will become one of the greatest Sith. Its going to be fantastic!

Great thinkers like Nietzsche and Solzhenitsyn would ask...did the AT-AT ever truly live?

It’s a little sad to me that after a relatively small career doing absolutely classic films like Titanic, Aliens, and Terminator, Cameron is going to die primarily having just done a bunch of Avatar films.

His career has been pretty consistently on brand IMO.

The only original idea he had was the "Terminator". Beyond that, his movies have essentially been amusement park rides, and he's good at what he does.

I'll definitely see this new Avatar movie in Imax. I know the plot will likely be extremely similar to the first two. Big evil corporation tries to kill indigenous people and they are saved with the help of a white savior.

They'll be a couple of moments where I'll get sucked into the emotional elements. Then I'll walk away not remembering much about it, but I'll have enjoyed the 3d spectacle and cool alien environments.

It’s not really about Avatar specifically. I’d say the same if he went back and did 5 more Terminator movies after Titanic.

So we're getting a sequel to Greenland. Greenland 2: Green Harder.

The first Greenland was way better than it had any right to be, it's actually one of the best disaster movies of the last few decades. And I always thought the post-disaster movie was a completely untapped genre, though I'm not sure if that fits the bill since it just seems like more endless disaster
