That's why you try and make him run up his pitch count and hope you can do it to the bullpen instead. Schneider can't piss around with Scherzer again though.

I’d pull the guy now. But if they want to save the bullpen, allow him to start the second and wait until he lets someone on base. Like others have said, too important of a game.

Could very well be the final start of Max’s career. Hate to say it but he’s washed and I wouldn’t trust him to start a playoff game.

Yep. He's totally cooked.
Had that great stretch over the summer which helped this team immensely. But he's been a guaranteed loss this month.
