I will say that sometimes it's not the amount of winners or errors and more what point in the match they happen as a 6-2 set in a best of three can skew the stats.

Just goes to show that even when they aren't winning on the courts they are winning at life haha.

It will be interesting to see how long Felix can maintain his US Open level -Hopefully, he can make the ATP Finals with a good Asian and European indoor swing. As for Denis, he has won three tournaments in the last 12 months which isn't exactly chopped liver. Shapo and Gabriel are playing the Japan Open this week and Denis got the better draw taking on Altmaier while Gabriel gets Taylor Fritz. Maybe Fritz will have some jetlag and Gabe will have a chance for the upset.

2025 isn't over yet has been a fantastic year for Canadian tennis. Fernandez, Mboko, FAA, Dialio, and Denis all winning tournaments. Too lazy to check but have five Canadians ever won ATP/WTA tournaments in a calendar year before?

Without checking, I'm pretty sure that has never happened before. By the way, Denis lost to Altmaier in straight sets 6-3 7-5, but he was probably still in honeymoon mode and Altmaier did have an excellent US Open run so it's not that surprising.

I saw Bianca was back on the court, but lost today. Hope she can stay healthy.

Gabe played great, but Fritz just a little too good taking proceedings 4-6 6-3 7-6(3). Tough draw to get Fritz in the opening round. Gabe had 40 winners to 32 unforced errors, Fritz had 24 winners and 25 unforced errors.

Overnight, Charlie won his match but did have an injury scare regarding his left foot. No word on how serious it might be as of yet.

Wow, what a performance from Leylah just now defeating Maria Sakkari 6-2 6-0. Coming into this match, Leylah had never beaten Sakkari in three meetings and hadn't even won a set versus the Greek. I know Sakkari is not the same player she used to be (was ranked as high as #3 in the world), but Leylah was in command today from the opening point.

Vicki Mboko basically double faulted away the first set in her match tonight in China, losing in a tiebreaker.
Hopefully she will shake it off

It really came out of nowhere, serving at 5-4 and 30-love and then the wheels fell off.

Big hold by Victoria just now to consolidate the break.

Just like at the end of set 1, all of a sudden, Vicky loses the plot.

I still think Vicky's wrist is bothering her, I didn't see the usual pop on her serve or her ground strokes today. Oh well, it's been a bad night of results for the teams and athletes that I root for.
