And you were right.

Can't argue with that.

But the "many posters" weren't being pessimistic. The Flames are a team that needs many things to go better than expected in order to be in the hunt. Last year that happened with Wolf and work ethic being the driving points.

But they are still a team deep with middle six forwards but not enough offensive talent, and just three top four defensemen, and a sophomore goalie with an inexperienced backup.

You don't have to be a hater to see things maybe not going as well.

Hope to see Hurtig get a contract this season. He showed a lot of promise.

Both Huska and Lowry were very impressed with Hurtig's camp, I think he did really well for his first real pro camp.

Second, he was at main camp last year too. He's a big guy but without much offence. See how the season goes before offering him a contract. Already 20 years old so he'll be an overaged and import player for the Hitmen.
