He deserves recognition for brilliantly acting out the sheer amount of cringy scenes. So many WTF moments.

Not me. I was expecting huge things out of that movie. Along with my friend group, I'm a diehard I Think You Should Leave fan. We all want as a gaggle (maybe 8 of us?). We all left disappointed. It was 100% reminiscent of when I went to the first Star Wars prequel: started out totally ready to enjoy every minute and then it donned on me before long I was watching something very mediocre.

I tried it the other night, too, and it was pretty boring, even as a huge "I think you should leave" fan. It felt like a 1.5 hour ITYSL short, to me. I mean there was definitely some good laughs, but like maybe 5 or so? If I had to sum it up, even as a huge Tim Robinson fan, it was a very weak Naked Gun attempt?

I was rolling in the very first scene. The way Craig says "it's not coming back" and the expression on his face when Tami wonders if she will ever orgasm again...chef's kiss.

And if you weren't laughing all the way through the toad scene you're just soulless.

I've lost track of the number of times I've said this, but, Heat is the perfect crime movie. My favourite movie ever. Everytime I watch it I still pick up new little bits I missed before.

"And I'm orgasming just fine" to end his speech

The bloody nose bit was also hilarious. Tim's mannerisms alone crack me up.

The new Spike Lee joint Highest 2 Lowest is now on Apple TV. It was just ok in my opinion. There is an ethical dilemma for music mogul Denzel - should he pay a large ransom for a person who was kidnapped by mistake instead of his son (the son of his right hand man)? They could have done more with that - all of a sudden with no explanation Denzel decides to pay.

It was odd how an old Denzel was easily able to beat up a much younger A$AP Rocky. I liked most to the music, except the music during the main action sequence sounded kind of like St. Patricks Day.

I did not like supeman. A convoluted mess of a plot.

I think it was better than calling it a mess.

It was kind of a Saturday Morning cartoon plot stretched into a movie, not a master piece, but certainly an order of magnitude better than anything the DC has put out since Nolan left, a respectable effort. that fits within the genre, but fails to elevate the genre.

F1 had great racing but there was too much cliche underdog story. Not bad but could be better. P3 finish.

I didn't mind the movie but couldn't get over whatever it is Pitt did to his face. It's like his upper lip doesn't move anymore? These actors need to stop trying to stay young, can't act when your face doesn't move.

I never noticed that. Gotta keep those movie star looks.

I can't find anything definitive but he's supposed to be playing 61, his actual age. Would someone that age have raced as a rookie in the early 90s?

Also Kerry Condon is 20 years his junior. Borderline gross. And Sarah Niles, who plays Joshua's mom, is 4 years older than him. Hollywood, folks.

I'm adding a three place penalty and lowering my score to P6. If I keep thinking about its shortcomings it might drop out of the points.

It’s a remake of Akita Kurosawa’s High and Low which imo still holds up today and is what I would consider AK’s best film.

From what I’ve heard of the Spike Lee version, people should just skip it and watch the original.

I know its tanking critically but I'd recommend HIM. Visually it was really immersive and unsettling at the same time. Cant think of another comparable, but it reminded me of Dune, which is strange to say about a sports/horror mashup. The symmetry and alien-like aesthetic of virtually every shot and space was kind of surreal. Played like a 90 minute music video from hell.

The dialogue made me laugh at a few points too. There's also a fun scene with exorbitant gore.

Its worth a ticket just for the stylistic component. As long as you can stomach the depictions of head trauma.
