Yeah, like I'll find a book in the series somewhere. I have to keep checking though. It's not like a lot of authors or series where there's a good chance you can just drop by whenever and find multiples of the first, say, three in the series.

I already have what I need to read. I fear more that the kids might find a way to damage such a treasure. I'll wait before buying something like this.

I still can't get over how beautifully crafted the visuals in this show are. From the characters, to the costumes, to the vistas... it's just so much eye candy.
Sci-fi for adults when it's well done is such a joy.

Oh! And the Music! The whole presentation of the show is absolutely gorgeous.
Its like the guy in charge of all of the set design, visuals, music, etc, found an Executive's wallet and stole it!

Yeah it was a lot better than the first two seasons. Helps that they followed the books more.
Enjoyed the twist on the twist but it does make me wonder who'll do all the fun stuff meant for Bayta.
But man showing earf already, they're really compressing things.

My personal theory is that he has a giant warehouse of Orphans who happen to be classically trained symphony musicians.
But we haven't confirmed that...yet!

I liked that because it keeps things fresh, you're not sure where its going, and to your last point...look...I've complimented the visuals, the cinematography, the music, the acting, its all top notch.
What is the budget for this and where is it coming from?

I don't know for certain, but is it for sure that they're compressing things? I haven't seen S3 yet, but I'm honestly curious to know if it's an actual compression or a difference in philosophy in how they're interpreting the works.
When I first poked around the foundation series, I ran into the debate of whether to read it in publication order, a revised chronological order as supposedly mentioned by Asimov himself and other revised orders that other fans feel are more appropriate than either of those two.

The series was planned for 8 seasons, but I don’t know if that is still in the cards.

Really? Are the ratings that good? I'm a fan and I'm sticking with it but 8 seasons?

Well they've already revealed that the Second Foundation is on Trantor, which is actually the end of the the third (and originally last) book.
Earth isn't really mentioned until Foundation's Edge, which was written in 1982, 30 years after Second Foundation, and the book is set 500 years after SF. They then go to Earth and that's when they find out about the robots. Fin.
But there's the prequels by Asimov, which actually the first season follows, and then there's the other books by other authors which are also canon, and some of those are about a robot civil war, which maybe perhaps S4 will touch?

Good season but I found the Mule twist to be super awkward. As a book reader I was hoping for at least a loose adaptation of my favourite Foundation Story and was so excited by the set up. Don’t understand the need to do something different. Am holding out hope we get another twist in S4 to more match the source material.
Loved the Dusk becoming Darkness story and twist that funny enough wasn’t in the books. Shocked they killed off the two best characters but it is set up for Pace and Dirn to return next season.

So... both compression and philosophical revision of the telling of the story vs publication date?
