Erik Karlson is probably out there as well. Not suggesting one player has more value than the other, all things considered, but there are other options for teams to explore. It wouldn’t be a shock if there are others as well.
Best case scenario, imo, would be for Andersson to be at the top of his game, make team Sweden and some other team steps up around Christmas time, perhaps just after, and makes the deal.

Yeah, but not sure the Detroit method of just get a bunch of goaltenders and hope one succeeds is a good plan.

Is Grzelcyk going to sign a PTO, or is someone going to sign him to a standard contract before camp?
That's so strange he didn't find a team yet. He definitely deserves more than a PTO despite his playoff struggles, maybe he's asking for way too much. I guess there just isn't much demand for 5'10" D that are over 30.

Still waiting on Mason McTavish news. Sure seems quiet. Wonder if that’s part of the hold up on Andersson too?

I think that's wishful thinking on your part. I don't see them being traded for one another, and they play different positions. ANA did something very similar with Zegras. They just love playing hard ball in contract negotiations with their younger players.

Besides there are still other notable unsigned RFAs in Hughes, and Evangelista. The latter could be actually an interesting target for CGY due to the lack of RS, RWs in the organization. I don't think the price will be too high, but the Flames would need to move at least one top 9 LW for it to make sense.

I don't want to start a new thread on this. But this sounds rather concerning.

Probably not the best place to put this, but Wheeler posted his NHL Prospect Tiers article where he sends his top 130ish under 23 prospect rankings out to a number of scouts and executives and asks them to critique and re-order them.
Article link.
Interesting list, as it's broader than one person's opinion (but likely is heavily influenced by where Wheeler originally places them).
Parekh is ranked 17th, in the 3A tier. He's the fourth ranked defender after Schaefer, Hutson and Power, and ahead of all the 2024 drafted defencemen (Dickinson also 3A tier, Buim 3B and Levshunov 3B are closely behind him).
Matt Coronato is ranked in the 4A tier at 42 overall and Cole Reschyn at 73 at 4C. Cullen Potter just missed the ranking cut.
Reschny is also ranked ahead of Kindel, Nesbitt (unranked), Smith, Cootes and Aitcheson who were taken in front of him, but behind Carbonneau, who scouts seemed to have moved up after a really good development camp showing, as well as the two goalies taken in the first round last year.
For the anti-Edmonton crowd, the list has Howard and Savoie around 90-100 in the 5C tier.
