I'm ok with that decision. Original Sin was cool and better than I expected, but I think one season is enough for a prequel series. Resurrection is the superior show IMO and it deserves at least one or two more seasons, especially with how enjoyable this current season has been. Dexter's present timeline/story is much more interesting to me.

And besides getting a younger Doakes and I gues seeing how Harry keeps Brian away from Dexter for 15 years I'm not seeing much in the way of dots that haven't been connected that the audience would be dying to find out.

nahhh...I was looking forward to another year of Original Sin! They could have done both of these series for a few more years!

Dunno what next season will look like for Resurrection but I want everybody to come back. Rare that I like the entire cast from top to bottom. That was a top 3 Dexter season for me and for it to come almost 20 years after the debut is crazy.

Fun season overall.

Our only gripe while watching was with the amount of surveillance Prater and Charlie did on the killers ahead of time, why wouldn't they have known what Red actually looked like? She broke into his apartment to plant the invitation! Surely she would have watched him for a while to scout the place and his schedule, etc.

We kept waiting for the reveal that Prater knew Dexter was the Bay Harbour Butcher the whole time and it was all designed to bring him into the fold from the start.

Probably either the 3rd or 4th best season. I thought the ending was handled just ok after a wildly entertaining middle part to the season, so I might lean towards 4th best, after seasons 1, 2 and 4.

Kristen Ritter pointed out in her post episode interview that her file in Prater's vault still said "active"

So maybe they faked her death to get her out rather than outright offing her. Here's hoping for a 'vengeance' arc, because i'd like to see more of these cast members.

And I hope Al isnt just taken out off screen between seasons with a little exposition bit.

I too was waiting for the reveal that Prater knew who Dexter actually was. Instead he turned out to be less smart than one would expect for somebody who orchestrated a whole underground society of serial killer elite that has informants in law enforcement

Well that was awesome. Definitely one of the most enjoyable seasons of Dexter in a long time. I’m looking forward to seeing where they go with it for S2.
