Sounds like Black Sheep Patisserie has closed - Both Beltline and Farmers Market locations.
While i will admit this place was pricey, but damn was it good. Probably the best tiramisu in the city and a true top-end french patisserie.
Also, their Jambon-Buerre sandwiches were so good.

There was a story on the news this morning about JSpot closing, the owner of the Avenida market forced them out apparently before the end of the lease they had.

Okay, its not like we havent seen this kind of thing before, but the real question is 'why?'
I mean, if JSpot was managing to pay their rent then whats the problem? But who else does the landlord expect to take over an area like that with that kind of rent?
Unless its some sort of grudge or something?

Pretty gross place, they were (allegedly) dumping food waste into the electrical vault beside their parking lot. Wouldn’t surprise me if there were other gross practices committed by them.

I never went there. Too close to Alumni.
Now I'm just waiting for The Fancy Induced Burger to close. The food might be good but they use AI images in their marketing and the name is stupid. They have syringes of cheese to inject into the burgers so I think they mixed up infused with induced. Dumb.

That name will absolutely prevent me from ordering ever.
I think if they named it ‘I just jizzed in your burger, burger” I’d be be more inclined that fancy induced. Baseball bat in face terrible name.

Fancy Induced Burger's Google rating is 4.7. How that is possible, I have no idea. That was the most mediocre / bland burger I've ever had. Literally three bites in I was like to myself... you idiot, you should have just walked the 1.5 blocks to Class Clown.

I thought Saucy Burger was okay but pointless. Nothing special.

When I read the facebook post from Jspot about closing, someone underneath posted about their stand (produce maybe?) being evicted as well, and being replaced by the manager or owner, and the great Donair place left under the same circumstances as the J Spot (no notice etc) which is unfortunate, the Food Hall was a great idea but if they are pulling BS like this, I won't be supporting anymore

Just image searched that guy and it's who I thought it was. Bit of a pushy, in your face dude when trying to sell you his produce in the markey. One time my wife and I were dithering a bit over the bins trying to decide what goes in recycling, composting etc. and he passed by and said "Don't worry about it, just throw it in whichever one" Makes sense that a UCP guy wouldn't give a crap about that kind of thing and the bins are there just for display purposes.
