Yeah, keep hoping I’ll wake up one day to find it was all just some crazy but if performance art.
Someone I know (fortunately don’t have to see him around much, and his band sucks) just went on a rant that Trump’s impeachment was false/fake. I can’t take it any more.

Exactly. Right now they're all worried about retribution from the Orange Goblin King if they dare to disobey. They aren't even afraid of Trump, one of the biggest pussies around. They are, however, afraid of their base. As with a lot of things with the GOP they don't really fear Trump, he's just a conduit. As long as the cult is out there and primaries exist, that is who they really fear.

They're currently in the process of rigging the midterm elections in their favour, so I doubt they'll be too worried about their base by the time November rolls around. They already know they're gonna win.
